We want to take a moment to give thanks to God for the opportunity to serve our community through our annual Oktoberfest last Saturday! It was such a joy to see our church and community come together for food, fellowship, and fun. This event would not have been possible without the many hands and hearts who were serving behind the scenes.

To all of our volunteers—whether you helped to set up, clean up, greet, cook, paint faces, sing or play instruments, run activities, run pizza, serve, organize, or simply share a smile—thank you. Your time and gifts made this outreach possible, and we are truly grateful. It really was one of the best year's ever! Let’s give thanks to God for the blessing of this event and for each of you who made it happen!

If you give us a like or a follow on our social media it will help us get the word out about our awesome church! You can check out the pictures that Joey Landon captured too!

on Sunday, October 19, at 9:15am in Room 21

Are you new to Prince of Peace? Or maybe you’ve been attending for a little while and would simply like to learn more? We warmly invite you to join us for a Meet Prince of Peace event on Sunday, October 19, from 9:15–10:15am in Room 21.

This will be a relaxed and welcoming time to hear about our church’s story, mission, and community life. It’s also a great chance for us to get to know you! Some of our staff will drop by so you can put faces to names and feel more at home here.

Childcare is available—we have a fully staffed nursery for infants through age 6, and Sunday School classes for older children. You’re also welcome to bring your children with you to the event if that’s more comfortable for you.

We hope you’ll join us! You can email Tiffany Sears if you have questions.

Join us for our next Discover Experience

on Sunday, October 26, at 9:15am (Room TBD)

Whether you're considering becoming a member of Prince of Peace or are simply curious about who we are and what we believe, we warmly invite you to join us for The Discover Experience—a meaningful seven-week journey designed to help you explore faith and community.

Each week, we'll dive into essential topics such as Baptism, the Lord’s Supper, God’s Story—and how your story fits into His. It’s a time for learning, reflection, and connection in a welcoming, no-pressure environment.

The journey begins on Sunday, October 26 at 9:15am. While the experience spans seven weeks, we understand that life happens—so don’t worry if you can’t make it to every session. We’ll be happy to work with your schedule.

To sign up or learn more, please contact Tiffany Sears. We look forward to discovering together!

PoP Men – You are invited to our Men’s Fellowship Breakfast, Oct 25, 8:00 – 10:30 am.

Enjoy a morning of food, fellowship, and faith. The event will feature an engaging speaker who will share a powerful story designed to encourage, challenge, and lift your spirit. It is also an opportunity to build connections with men from PoP and other LCMS churches. Bring a friend or son for an uplifting start to your weekend!

Please RSVP as soon as possible to Aivars Baumanis.

Remembering Our Saints

All Saints Day is a sacred time to honor and give thanks for the lives of those who have gone before us in faith. As we gather to celebrate their memory, we invite you to share the names of loved ones who have entered eternal rest in the past year.

If you would like your loved one to be remembered during our All Saints Day observance, please send the following to Tiffany.Sears@poplc.org by October 26th:

  • Full Name
  • Dates of Birth and Passing
  • Your Relationship to Them
  • A Photo

Let us join together in prayer and remembrance, lifting up the lives of those who now rest in the light of Christ.

Mission Trip Opportunity

A group of volunteers from local LCMS churches will be traveling to Spartanburg, SC this month to help out with disaster response work. This town was hit hard by Hurricane Helene last year, and volunteers are still greatly needed. Volunteers that have received chainsaw training will be working on tree removal, and other volunteers are needed to tackle debris removal and home rebuilding. The group will be leaving on 10/26, working 10/26-31, and returning on 11/1. All skill levels are welcome. If you're interested in being a part of this trip, or want to learn more about it, please contact Pastor Wayne Puls (Grace, Woodbridge; wpuls@glcvirginia.org) as soon as possible. Please keep those who’ve been affected by disasters in your prayers.
