The Results Are In!!

It took us nearly two months to count all those coins… but every penny was worth it! Through the generosity of Prince of Peace, our Baby Bottle Campaign raised $3,920.25 for Sanctity of Life ministry. Your loose change created lasting impact by faithfully supporting mothers, babies, and families in our community. Thank you for supporting life and loving our neighbors so well!

Since 1969, ECHO has been a lifeline for neighbors in Burke and Springfield facing hardship. Founded and supported by local faith communities, 22 congregations today appoint members to our board, give generously, and serve alongside nearly 400 volunteers. Prince of Peace was a founding member of ECHO and has continued our support for more than 55 years. Danny Revard currently represents PoP on the Echo Board. Echo is in need of you one morning a week for 3 hours to serve in various capacities. Please see the link below: https://www.echo-inc.org/get-involved/volunteer-opportunities/ If you have questions call or come by the office and talk to Brad.

Special

Announcements

We invite you to partake in a divine gathering on May 24th, unveiling a glimpse of heaven itself as our diverse congregations unite to honor the Lord and rejoice in the wondrous acts of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost.

Following our worship service, we will bask in the warmth of fellowship over a shared meal. Kindly bring a dish to contribute to our communal feast.

Please note: We will not have our normal services that day. Instead, we will gather for one big service at 10:00 AM, and we encourage all the Prince of Peace family to come show their support for our congregations and the mission of Jesus for ALL NATIONS!

*This service will also be livestreamed at 10:00 am.

VBS Registration

Closing This Monday!

Our 2026 VBS theme is Rainforest Falls: Exploring the Nature of God. On June 22nd-26th, we will explore what it means to be rooted in relationship with our Creator, a safe place in life’s storms.

VBS spots are filling up! Once we reach capacity, or by Monday, May 11th at the latest, we will close VBS participant registration and open our VBS waitlist. If you want a guaranteed spot at VBS, we recommend registering soon before spots run out!

VBS is open to kids who are rising 1st Graders through rising 6th Graders in the Fall of 2026. Children younger than rising 1st Grade are encouraged to check out our Prince of Peace School Camp. Adults and students entering Grades 7 and up are encouraged to serve as VBS volunteers. VBS is $42 per child, and the fee is waived for children of adult volunteers who serve for all five VBS days. We have a VBS nursery with childcare available for children of adult volunteers who are too young for VBS. VBS Participant scholarships are available on an as-needed basis. Register your children today!

Music Camp @ PoP - Save the Dates

August 3rd - 7th 2026, Afternoons

Students ages K-6th grade may attend; students ages 7th - 12th grades may be helpers.

Music Camp is going Around the World in Five Days! 🌍✈️

Each afternoon, kids will “travel” to a new place as they learn fun songs, try simple music games and music theory basics, hear exciting Bible stories, and create crafts inspired by different cultures. It’s a playful, hands-on way to explore music, faith, and creativity all in one week!

Camp is led by our Prince of Peace (PoP) music leaders, along with awesome teen helpers from the church who bring tons of energy and encouragement.

Come ready to sing, create, explore, and have a whole lot of fun! On the final day we'll hold a short performance for families.

Is your student interested? Let us know via this link! We'll get more info to you when it's available, likely in June.

Swim for Bethany House Fundraiser

June 6 at 9:00am

For the past six years, Prince of Peace member and Spring Hill resident Jerry Nepodal has hosted a solo swim-a-thon to support Bethany House of Northern Virginia, raising $12,000 in 2024 alone. This year, Jerry is joined by fellow swimmers Jim Clark and Mike Robey with a goal of raising $20,000+ to support housing and furnishing projects for women and children escaping domestic violence. An $8,000 matching pledge will double donations up to that amount. To learn more or make a pledge, visit:

Climate Change Seminar

Join in on one or all sessions!

image_p1.png

Join us on Saturdays in April and May as we take a look at Climate Change with the first session displaying faith-based reasoning for why we should care about it and how to be better stewards to the earth. Learning about climate change matters because it effects every aspect of our lives from the quality of air, the weather we experience, and even health insurance prices. Understanding it helps us make informed choices, support effective policies, and prepare for the changes already happening.

Euchre Card Night

Friday, May 15, 6pm in Room 26

Calling all Euchre players! Join us Friday, May 15th at 6:00 pm in Room 26 (the old library) for our first Euchre night. Please bring either an appetizer or dessert to share with the group. Beverages will be provided. All levels are welcome!
