What does a Household of Faith look and sound like? What does research from Barna and Lutheran Hour Ministries say about how to cultivate a spiritually vibrant household? How do we create an environment for messy prayers, loud tables and open doors? Come join us on an 8 week journey beginning THIS Sunday, January 22 at 9:30am in the back of the Fellowship Hall during our Sunday School Hour. We will be reading “The Spiritually Vibrant Home” by Don Everts with room for discussion and collaboration. Bible Study led by Josh and Sara Wilson.

• Mar 24-26 - SED Jr. High District Youth Gathering (deadline to sign-up at a lower cost is January 28!)

Register now for the SED Jr. High District Youth Gathering. Dates are March 24-26, 2023 at King of Glory Lutheran Church, 4897 Longhill Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23188. PRICES INCREASE $20 AFTER JAN. 28, so get your registration in before that date! Registrations are on the bulletin board outside the youth room. Registration includes lunch and dinner on Sat., sack to go lunch on Sunday, a t-shirt, and service project materials, games, etc. at the event. [email protected]

Our next Gathering event will be held on Wednesday, February 8th from 6-8 pm in the Fellowship Hall. We will have a spaghetti dinner followed by a fellowship event. Do you sleep on a mattress every night? Some people in the world don't and use our quilts as their mattress on a dirt floor. Lutheran World Relief quilts are being made every Thursday here at PoP. (Remember all those delightful quilts last May that were on the pews? Last year we made over 147 quilts for LWR. ) No experience necessary. If you can tie a shoe, we need you. If you can sew a straight line, we need you. If you can cut fabric, we need you. Yes, we need you! We can also use fabric (cotton - no holiday fabric, please) and yarn to tie them together. We meet every Thursday in room 27 (at the back of the church) from 9:15 A.M. until about 2:30 P.M. Bring a sack lunch. We have dessert! Come have fun, fellowship, and serve the less fortunate all at the same time! [email protected]
