https://zoom.us/j/5264858673

We hope you will join us this Sunday as we explore how and why to Find our Center as an individual and a Congregation. Helen Leddy and Mary Cline Golbitz will lead the Service and Amy will join us at the piano. We look forward to seeing you there.

Minister's Musings

Henry Ward Beecher once wrote, “There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children. One of these is roots…the other, wings.”

It was lovely to be among you this past weekend. I am looking forward to my visit in February. It is a challenge to make a schedule because I began my work with you after I had made commitments to the school I am at in Costa Rica. So, have patience. Ulises will be accompanying me in March, April, and June. Here are my dates for the upcoming months:

February 17th-20th

March 11th-20th

April 1st-10th

May 12th-15th

June 3rd-12th

If you would like to offer home hospitality for any of these dates, please let me know. See you next, on Zoom!  Sue

Thank you for the welcome!

Generosity Campaign 2023-2024: Roots and Wings

“Roots hold me close/Wings set me free.” This line is from our hymn “Spirit of Life” which we sang on Sunday. For me, these words evoke powerful images that I believe are the essence of our Stewardship at UUCFM.

Dream Work Sessions

“All dreams come in the service of health and wholeness,” said Jeremy Taylor, UU minister and author of several books on dreaming, including “The Wisdom of Your Dreams, Using Dreams to Tap into Your Unconscious and Transform your Life.”  Debra Leigh, certified dream work facilitator (Marin Institute for Projective Dream Work) will lead a six-week session of dream work on Saturdays beginning February 18th, 10:45am-12:15pm in classroom 2 (or the amphitheater, weather permitting). These sessions are in conjunction with Caloosahatchee Mindfulness. To register, contact Debra or call (831)818-1418. Class size limited to 7 participants. Bring water, a pillow to sit on if you like, and something to write with.  Please commit to all 6 sessions.

Revised Covid Protocol

The efficacy of vaccines and treatments has significantly reduced Covid’s danger for most of us. As a result, the protocols for campus events have been revised:

  1. MASKS ARE OPTIONAL BUT ENCOURAGED in the sanctuary during worship services.
  2. Masks are optional for coffee and other functions in Hobart Hall.
  3. In classrooms, the library and other small spaces, masks are still required UNLESS everyone present agrees otherwise. We’ll continue to be respectful and protective of those of us whose immunity is impaired.
  4. Worship services will continue to be available via Zoom.

Although the Covid risk level will continue to fluctuate, I’m sure all of us hope the worst of the pandemic is behind us. We’ll continue to monitor the risk and change the guidelines as needed to protect our congregation.
