Welcome to Community Connect - January 2, 2023

Welcome to 2023! The staff have returned to the office after the holidays, and we are ready to take on 2023 and make it a great year! The office is open Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Please keep an eye on the monthly calendar as we are bringing more support groups and classes back into the office.

In December, we welcomed Alisha Patel to our team as the new Development Associate. Alisha grew up in Ventura County and recently graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Political Science. She is a Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma survivor and is excited to bring her own experiences and perspectives to CSCVVSB. In her free time, Alisha enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and mini goldendoodle, Toby.

Next month, we’ll host our first “Coffee with Monica,” so keep an eye out for information to follow.

Alexander Technique with Shula Sendowski

Hybrid Support Group starting in January

Starting January 4, 2023, the Wednesday evening All-Cancer Support Group (5-6:30 pm) will be hybrid (in-person and via Zoom). Please contact us for more details.

New Gentle Yoga Class

We are excited to announce that we will have an in-person Gentle Yoga class with Beth Cook and Phyllis Paul starting January 25, 2023. Pre-registration is required due to safety precautions (no drop-ins). More details to come!
