The Great Sock and Undies Challenge!!!
LAST CALL ! The CIA (Christians in Action) is having a Sock & Undies Challenge at this year’s Trunk or Treat Fall Festival on October 26.

You might ask: What is this??!!!

Through this Sunday, October 20, you are asked to bring in socks and/or underwear for I-58. Any age from toddlers to adults, every size, for male or female.
There are 4 bags in the Fellowship Hall. Each bag is labeled with the name of a prospective “pie-ee.” (Pastor Ashley, Jon Morris, Barb Combs, Derrick White) The person with the most socks & undies in their bag will win a wonderful prize chosen especially for them!!! The remaining 3 people will be our “pie-ee’s”, meaning you may have an opportunity to throw a pie at these three people during the Trunk or Treat Fall Festival!

Get your socks and undies purchased and fill those bags!!!

Fall Festival/Trunk or Treat
We are finalizing our plans for this community outreach event, October 26, 4-6pm. The time has changed to allow families to participate in the community movie in the park at 6:30pm.

We need help with the Fall Festival’ll have as much fun as the children!

We need cakes for our famous Cake Walk and donations for and cooks for the soup and grilled cheese sandwiches.

We also need trunks for the children to visit. You can be as creative as you want to be, well maybe not too scary!

The SUMC annual Fall Festival and Trunk-or-Treat event gives children and parents in our community a safe and fun place to enjoy games and giveaways. It also gives us a chance to interact with those in our community who might be seeking a spiritual home.

Please let Jon Morris know if you would like to be a part of this special event at (404) 934-6779 or .  Sign up on-line using the link in the Weekly Connection, on sign up sheets at the church or on-line at on the home page.
Christians In Action (CIA) Meeting is this Tuesday, October 22 at 6:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. We will be making final plans for the Fall Festival. We will also start planning for the activities for Light Up Senoia on December 7th. This team is comprised of every member of the church. So come see how you can help SUMC with it’s outreach and missions.

When the scholarship recipients exit the program, they are equipped with the skills and experience necessary to be a catalyst of change in their community and country.
