September 1, 2019 Service
The mission of the Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ
for the transformation of the world.
First Responders' Sunday is September 22. We need lots of door prizes to give out to the families of our 1st Responders.

Think about how safe you are because of these brave men and they help in emergencies, no matter the circumstances. Last year all of our guests received a gift….let’s do that again! Please leave the gifts with Shirley Orr, in the basket in the Fellowship Hall or in the office. We need all of the gifts by September 15th.

The lunch that day will be a potluck. The church will provide chicken and beverages and we are asking that you bring two dishes. We’ll need sides, salads and desserts.
Youth and Children's Sunday School Starts September 8th
September 8, we will kick off Sunday school for our youth and children. There has been a lot of planning going on to ensure an exciting, educational year for them.

Please contact Ginger Wright with any questions at (770) 301-5510.
Ask: Faith Questions in a Skeptical Age
This New Study Starts this Sunday, September 8th and you are invited to jump in!

The Journey Sunday school class, which meets upstairs in the Fellowship Hall, is starting “ Ask: Faith Questions in a Skeptical Age ”. It’s written by Scott Jones, a Bishop in the UMC, and his son Arthur Jones, an ordained elder in Plano TX.

This book is all about questions we have about various things in and about the church universal. Lots of people asked Jesus questions. And He welcomes our questions today.

Leaders are Jon Morris and Trey Jenkins.
Tom Jackson - Guest Speaker
September 15th
Join us in worship September 15 at the 11:00 service to hear an inspirational message from Tom Jackson.

Since 1974 he has been the “Voice of the Redcoats”- stadium public address announcer for the University of Georgia Redcoat Band. He is an active lay member of Athens First United Methodist Church, where he has served as a delegate to the North Georgia Annual Conference for many years.
Little Free Libraries

Both the Coweta Association of Retired Educators (Jean Cotton) and the Senoia Optimist Club (several church members) stock and support Little Free Libraries (LFL) around Senoia. SUMC members are invited to help, too!

If you have any new or gently used books at home – hardback or paperback – that are no longer needed, we invite you to donate them by placing them in the box in the Fellowship Hall. Books can range from picture books for toddlers, chapter books for children, and both fiction and nonfiction for kids and adults.

Users of the Little Free Libraries are invited to “Take a book, leave a book,” and if any of our books encourage a love of reading or bring pleasure to any age reader, the LFL has served its purpose. Please see Jean Cotton or Doug Kolbenschlag for more information.
Jesus Wants You!
