Chancel Choir Meeting Sunday, March 27, immediately following the service. This brief informational meeting is twofold. We need past choir members to attend so Jim can gauge interest and to make plans. Jim would like anyone who has not been in the choir but is interested in joining, to  attend to find out more about the choir. It’s time to have a choir, and we would love you to join us if you are interested.

Pound Cakes for Peace!

Our very own Smith Wilson is raising money to help the people of Ukraine. He is in elementary school at Trinity Christian School and told his mom, Emily, that he wanted to "help these people out." He came up with the idea of "Pound Cakes for Peace".

Smith and his Mimi are baking Mimi's Famous pound cakes and cookies. They will be on sale at the church on Sunday. (Maybe we can get them to bake some for next Sunday also!)

All proceeds will go to UMCOR: Ukraine. 100% of all funds donated to UMCOR go directly to the cause. This is very important to Smith.

Christians In Action

Supporting those in need in the Ukraine:

Senoia UMC is collecting for UMCOR. Rev. Üllas Tankler, the European/Eurasian representative of  the General Board of Global Ministries said, “I hear three issues of immediate concern in the messages from United Methodists in Ukraine. First, they want to help those in need immediately around them. The present emphasis  is on internally displaced people, notably in the west. Then, general humanitarian concerns within the county, and third, doing something to help those leaving Ukraine, initially becoming refugees in adjoining Poland, Hungary, Romania or Slovakia.”

Make you checks to Senoia UMC with UMCOR or Ukraine in the memo line. Thank you for your support. Questions? Contact Beth Hughes.
March 27 is UMCOR Sunday

Collecting for Easter Meals

Collecting for Easter Meals: The I-58 Mission has asked Senoia UMC to collect turkeys for distribution for Easter meals. Turkeys, large or small, will be collected through April 10th. Please bring them to the church on Sundays or when the office is open and put them in the kitchen refrigerator. If you have frozen meat, place in the freezer. Each week Judith Glover will pick up and take the food to I-58.

Upper Room Connexion Group

The Upper Room at SUMC gathering meets every Wednesday morning, at 10:30, in the JOY Room off the narthex.

This group is open to all people of our church and community. We read through the daily devotion from The Upper Room Devotional booklet and discuss how it speaks to us in our daily lives. If there are other devotions from the previous week that stood out to us, we go over those also.

It’s a great group to have fellowship with each week. Call or text me, Barb at 419-680-2103, if you have any questions.

Bible Study with Barb

Our study of the New Testament book of Hebrews continues in Bible Study with Barb.

We will meet on Wednesday evening, March 23, 7:00, either in the JOY Room or via Zoom. This week we’ll take a look at what it was like for the new followers of Jesus as they separated away from their long-held beliefs to form a whole new religion, Christianity. We’ll talk about sacrifice, hope, new covenant, being made holy and how that all still relates to us today. It’s never too late to come and join us. There will be a seat at the table just for you.

Call or text me, Barb at 419-680-2103, if you have any questions. See you on the 16th!!
