Upper Room Connexion Group

The Upper Room at SUMC will meet on Wednesday morning, Dec. 1, at 10:30 in the JOY Room off the narthex.

Each week we read and discuss the devotion for that day from The Upper Room Devotional booklet. We also compare any notes we’ve made for the other devotions we have read throughout the previous week.

This is a wonderful group to learn more about each other, our lives, and our faith. We would love to have you join us!

Call or text me, Barb at 419-680-2103, if you have any questions. I hope to see you on Wednesday morning!

Book Study with Barb

There is still time to join Book Study with Barb for our Advent study, Making Room: Sharing the Love of Christmas.

We meet at 7:00 Wednesday evening, Dec. 1, at 7:00, either in person in the JOY Room at the rear of the sanctuary or via Zoom.

This week we are discussing what it means to be a stranger in a strange land, as we learn about Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus having to flee Bethlehem to go to Egypt to avoid King Herod. How often have we felt like strangers, either in a strange place or in a crowd of people we already know?

The study is open to everyone in our church. There is a place at the table waiting just for you! Check it out. Call or text me, Barb at 419-680-2103, if you have any questions or for a copy of your book. See you on Wednesday night!
