Prayer Needs
Dear Father in heaven, through Your Son, Jesus, You sent Light into our darkened world forgiving the sins of the world and offering a chance of eternal life with You. Jesus has called us to be light of the world in order to spread the gospel message of forgiveness and salvation. Grant to us Your Holy Spirit that we can do just that, being witnesses to Your great love for the world and letting our light, our faith in You, shine. Amen

It has been a year since we started the online pictorial church directory.  We have heard from some that have accessed the online directory and they have remarked at what a great tool this is to our members.  In order for you to access the online directory, we need to enter your email into the directory database. We also need a picture of your family (or in the case of some an updated family picture). Please email Jadi Gurganious (jgurganious@sslcms.org) a family picture and the email address you would like to use for access.

Come enjoy a fun evening of food and fellowship as we prepare for the Lenten season.

Mission Opportunities

Youth on a Mission

February Mission  -  CRAYOLA crayon drive

For the month of February St. Stephens Lutheran Church & School will be collecting new CRAYOLA crayons (does not matter the count). Why Crayola crayons?

Dalton Powell, one of our youth,  will be going to Nicaragua with Dr. Neuwirth’s dental team and a group of students to minister to the people of Nicaragua in various ways. The students will be playing games, arts and crafts, bible study and service projects in the community. Dalton has asked if we can do a CRAYOLA drive so they can take crayons to the children. The governing agency in Nicaragua has specifically asked for CRAYOLA.

Crayons will need to be brought in by Sunday, February 19, so they can be packed the next week. The boxes can be placed in the Mission Box in the narthex..

Thank you for making Dalton's first mission trip to Nicaragua a memorable one
LWML
LWML Mission (hygiene items)

The Esther Circle of our LWML (Lutheran Women’s Missionary League) prepares Hygiene Kits for several organizations in our community as one of its mission projects. It is only with your kindness and generosity that we are able to assemble these kits. We are in need of deodorant, toothpaste, and shampoo (regular size). Dollar store items are fine. We will be distributing these items in cloth bags made by some of our ladies to Family Care center, Safe Harbor and any other organizations that can use these items. Please place your donations in the box marked “Esther Circle” in the narthex. Many thanks for your support.
