SOCIAL ACTION - VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES | |
Friends:
I am forwarding a message here from a volunteer coordinator at SVDP. I am doing this as a reminder of how urgent the need is for the help you provide , and also to keep this activity in your thoughts so that you can continue to volunteer and be of service to people in need. As we approach the High Holy Day season, please think about ways to give time and effort to this mitzvah and holy work/
Rich

Hello Dining Room Volunteer,
Our SVdP staff are so very thankful for your dedication and support of our St. Vincent de Paul Phoenix Dining Room (PDR) on the Human Services Campus. We serve approximately 1500 meals per day at PDR, and we couldn’t do it without You!
We are in urgent need of extra hands to feed the bellies and hearts of our guests on the Human Services Campus. We have a SIgnUp Genius created with the dates and times for which we need assistance.
Duties include: room prep, plating food, cutting vegetables and fruits, serving drinks, and cleaning.
Who can volunteer: Volunteers must be 14 years-old with an adult or 16 years-old on their own.
Dress code: Close-toed shoes, sleeved shirts, and pants/skirts/shorts that are finger-tip length or longer.
Gate code: 4415
To sign up for a shift, please visit SignUp Genius at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0948ADAE2DA5FEC43-meal . You may also contact Joelene VanBuskirk at volunteer@svdpaz.org to schedule your shift.
Thank you so much for all you do to help SVdP Feed.Clothe.House.Heal, and for ensuring we serve our PDR guest with TLC.
Warm regards,
Pam

Remember "Mom" and the other women!
Reminder: There are hungry neighbors and families experiencing food insecurity throughout the Valley, throughout the year -- even if we can't always see it. And there are women who can't afford basic feminine products. Our food collection bin for Mom's Pantry is always in our lobby, and our Kehillah Cares bag for women4women tempe is in our ladies' room.
Please bring food and toiletry donations whenever you attend an event or services.

We love hearing from you!

Dear Friends,
It has come to our attention that once again scam emails are being sent out to various synagogues, from someone claiming to be a member of their board of directors, requesting gift cards.
Please know that Congregation Kehillah’s board members, staff, and committee members will not email any requests for gift card purchases or wiring money.
If you have a question as to the validity of an email, please forward it to us at info@congregationkehillah.org so that we can confirm.
L’Shalom,
Renee B Joffe
