Stallion Challenge
In last Friday's Report Card envelope you received a Stallion Challenge flier. The Stallion Challenge is the final push in our 2018-19 Annual Giving. Take part in this friendly rivalry — class vs. class! The winning class will be determined on dollars raised per class.
Stallions in the Spotlight
Over spring break junior Jordan Reeves had the opportunity to shadow Representative Carfagna, a SFD alum and the chair of the Finance Subcommittee on Higher Education. Due to the timing of Jordan's visit - with members of the House and Senate focusing on the state budget - Jordan learned a lot about the Ohio budget and met many different people at a committee hearing where the House, Senate, Treasurer's Office and State Auditor testified.
A special thanks to local artist Bryan Moss for stopping by Mrs. Aumiller's Drawing II, III, and Honors Senior Seminar Art Portfolio classes. At the age of 17, Moss started working professionally on storyboards and comics, and his commercial clients include Cirque Du Soleil, Marvel Comics and Upper Deck.
Students and staff participated in our 2nd Blood Drive of the year last week, supporting the efforts of the American Red Cross. We were able to donate 58 units! Great job to student coordinators Greta Cargin and Liz Renken for organizing and running such a successful drive.
Students enjoyed hearing from Fr. Thomas Blau, an itinerant preacher for the Diocese of Columbus, speak about vocations.
Congratulations to senior Justin King for being named the Rotary Club of Westerville's Student of the Month for April. Justin is active in the Young Life Youth Group and Corral for the Kids Club. He is also a member of the National Honor Society and the Italian National Honor Society. He plans to study Computer Science Engineering in college.
Members of the Italian National Honor Society volunteered at the Columbus Homeless Foundation over the weekend. They helped to sort food and groceries and to prepare Easter meals for local homeless families.
The Little Theatre was filled this past Sunday with kids of all ages for the Beauty and the Beast Sing-a-long, an event organized by the Drama Department. Kids had the opportunity to sing with the cast, have their photos taken with the actors and actresses, and enjoy craft stations. Everyone walked away from this fun afternoon feeling like a prince or princess!

Spiritual Reflection
Father, Jesus your Son proclaimed your reign and embodied it in his intimacy with you and his generous self-sacrificing life. Be with us in our Lenten pilgrimage of faith. May our prayer, fasting, and repentance draw us ever more deeply into Christ’s example of oneness with you and kind attentiveness to others. Amen.
