UNY welcomes Colleen Boyea
Colleen Boyea joins Upper New York as the Administrative Assistant for Missional Excellence. In her new role, she will be supporting several ministries and Conference teams, including the Rev. Dr. Aaron Bouwens, who serves as the Director of Missional Excellence. Colleen began her work at the United Methodist Center in Liverpool on May 1.

Bishop Moore-Koikoi to be the 2023 Commissioning and Ordination speaker at Annual Conference
We are pleased to announce that the speaker for the 2023 Service of Commissioning and Ordination is Bishop Cynthia Moore-Koikoi. Bishop Moore-Koikoi is the resident bishop of the Western Pennsylvania and Susquehanna Conferences. The Ordination Servie is being held at Onondaga Community College’s SRC Arena in Syracuse on June 2 at 7:30 p.m.

Children learning how to love themselves and others at Watertown First UMC
When the Rev. Anne Canfield was appointed to Watertown First United Methodist Church in 2019, she had one child in her church. Rev. Canfield was determined to change that. Today, she has 26 children enrolled in a free Wednesday afternoon childcare program called "A Little Child Will Lead Us."

The Upper New York United Women in Faith (UWF) Project Grants are available to non-profit community and faith-based organizations which follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and address the needs of women, children, and youth within the boundaries of the Upper New York Conference. The application deadline is May 23, 2023.

The Media Resource Center is a free lending library funded by designated donations and runs by a dedicated volunteer group. There is a multitude of DVD studies, curricula, and support materials for your use. Global Ministries meetings focus on mission in Africa
The board of United Methodist Global Ministries met for the first time outside the U.S. to collaborate with African United Methodists on mission work and the shared goal of helping the church in Africa become self-sustaining. During the board meeting, $5 million in funding was approved for the Yambasu Agriculture Initiative.
