The Rev. Hannah Armidon is putting together a database of churches that will continue to live stream their services after the COVID-19 crisis is over. The purpose of this database is to provide access to church services for the home-bound elderly and disabled. If you plan to continue live streaming your service, please send the link, time, and church name to [email protected].
If you hadn't considered it, please give it some thought. As someone who has been largely home bound for several years, it would have been an immense gift to be able to participate in the Eucharist and church life in some way, especially that of my home church.
Got some extra time?
File your Parochial Report
I am pleased to report that the majority of parishes filed their parochial report. Since reports were due March 1, 2020, it would be fantastic if any parish who has not yet filed could make an effort to get them completed and submitted as soon as possible.
By popular demand, our Thursday evening youth group will be continuing online! All of the regular attendees have been contacted but since moving the program online will remove the distance barrier for many kids we are going to open up the group to any 7th-12th grader throughout the Diocese. If you would like to join contact Danny ([email protected]) for the link.
Summer Camp 2020
The summer camp counselors and staff are continuing to meet online each week in a time of prayer, scripture, and fellowship as we prepare for the upcoming summer camp season. We invite you to join us in prayer each Friday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. from wherever you may be. Our schedules are ready, our staff are excited, and our program this year is going to be awesome!
RIP Lynn Strauss
Lynn Strauss, sister of The Rev Jean DeVaty, Rector of St. James' in Lake George, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020. Please keep Mother Jean and her family in your prayers.
Recorded Sunday Eucharist Services
Available on the Diocesan Website
In case you missed it, each Sunday Bishop Bill is working with other clergy from the Diocese to offer a recorded Eucharist for you to watch from the comfort and safety of your own home. These services will remain on ourYouTube channel for viewing any time. To access simply go to the Diocesan website, www.albanyepiscopaldiocese.org. You will see a link to take you to the resource page with not only the recorded service but other resources for you to use at home. We will also send an email reminder each week when the video is ready to view.
If you run into any problems and need assistance please contact Deacon Meaghan Keegan at [email protected].
