OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

SCHEDULE CHANGE

to the

SPECIAL ELECTING CONVENTION

The Special Convention for the Election of the Tenth Bishop of Albany

will be held on

ONE DAY ONLY,

Saturday, September 9, 2023.

This change consolidates the Convention to one day, rather than overnight from Friday to Saturday.

The Standing Committee, following diocesan Rule 1A for the Election of a Bishop, has made this change in consultation with the Secretary of the Diocese, the Election Procedures Committee, the Chancellor of the Diocese, and the Cathedral of All Saints for the convenience of clergy and lay deputies, and to contain costs. Clergy and lay deputies who need to travel on Friday in order to vote on Saturday may now do so without fear of missing any Friday evening events.

NOTHING ELSE in the Call to Convention published on May 4, 2023, is changed.

Further details of the Convention schedule will be determined and published in due course as the date approaches.
