Weekly Director Letter 1/7/2022
Dear Parents,
I hope you had a wonderful holiday with your family. We have done our best to ensure the safety of our students during this difficult time. This week, 18 of our school families reported that someone in their home had COVID. We appreciate the communication and that those families kept their child out of school this week.

Moving forward, we are counting on families to keep kids home if they have been exposed or someone in the home has COVID. We are changing our COVID procedure to align with the Emergency Order from the Florida Department of Health.

This is the same procedure Miami Dade Schools is using to limit the time parents need to miss work while keeping kids safe. Moving forward if a child is positive for COVID and has been exposed to your child, we will not be closing the room. You will be able to make a choice whether you wish to keep your child home or send them to school.  Please click here to see our new quarantine procedures and the link to read the Florida Department of Health Emergency order.

I am also begging parents who are not wearing a mask at pick up and drop off to please wear one for the safety of our students and staff.

As families returned from travel this week, we decided on Sunday to give our Kindergarten - Second Grade students the option to ZOOM as a safer alternative to face-to-face attendance as the numbers spiked following the holiday. I am so very grateful to our K-2 staff who pivoted to ZOOM and also taught students face-to-face. We will return to our normal face-to-face instruction next week.

Have a wonderful weekend and Please Stay Safe!!
