Updated Guidelines for Student Technology Use During the School Day

For the 2025–2026 school year, Mt. Lebanon School District will implement updated student technology guidelines across all grade levels. Guidelines by grade band outline expectations for K–12 students on using personal devices (cell phones, smartphones, smartwatches, earbuds, and headphones), Bring Your Own Technology, and district-issued devices during the school day. Guidelines per grade levels:

• Grades K-5
• Grades 6-8
• Grades 9-12

Visiting Our MTLSD Schools

We look forward to welcoming visitors to our schools and ask for your support in following our established safety procedures.

• Raptor is used to sign in visitors to the District. All visitors are required to have a picture ID to sign in. The picture ID will held until the visitor leaves the building.  
• During the school day, guests should enter through the main entrance. 
• If a parent or guardian comes to the front door and would like to drop off a homework assignment, lunch, etc., main office personnel will take the item and label it. The school will utilize their procedure for the student to pick up the item(s).  
• Please do not hold the door open for others. Each visitor should be individually buzzed in by office staff.

Technology

Introducing LeboID

Parents and Guardians, your initial LeboID login information was sent via email on Monday, August 4. There is an extra step the very first time you sign in that will enable you to recover and change your LeboID password if you ever forget it!

Students can log in to LeboID using their username (without the @mtlstudents.net) and District password. LeboID will also become the authentication provider for all of their Google logins on Monday, August 18.

Families can look up their students' passwords by logging in to their own Parent/Guardian LeboID and then clicking on "PowerSchool Portal" - the Student Information link on the left shows "Default Password"

MTLSD Equipment Protection Plan (EPP)

For all District-issued student devices, families have the option of purchasing an Equipment Protection Plan (EPP).

For ALL District-issued student devices (Grades K through 12):

• Students and families are responsible for any and all damage to their District-owned device. The District offers an annual program called the Equipment Protection Plan (EPP).
• The EPP is optional and is not required. The EPP is a one-time $50 fee and will cover a single 1:1 District-owned device for the 2025-2026 school year - starting on July 1, 2025, and concluding on June 30, 2026.

To enroll in the Equipment Protection Plan (EPP):

• Click the ENROLL button on the District’s One-to-One Resources page (www.mtlsd.org/One-to-One).

The deadline to enroll in EPP this year is OCTOBER 1, 2025.
