The Gospel
He left that place and went to the region of Judea and beyond the Jordan. And crowds again gathered around him; and, as was his custom, he again taught them.
Some Pharisees came, and to test him they asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?” He answered them, “What did Moses command you?” they said, “Moses allowed a man to write a certificate of dismissal and to divorce her.” But Jesus said to them, “Because of your hardness of heart he wrote this commandment for you. But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

Then, in the house, the disciples asked him again about this matter. He said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another, commits adultery against her; and if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.
PRELACY NEWS
RELIGIOUS DIALOGUE WILL CONTRIBUTE TO PEACE, SAYS CATHOLICOS AT G-20 FORUM
Dialogue between monotheistic religions may benefit peace in the Middle East, said His Holiness Catholicos Aram I in his address to the G-20 Interfaith Forum in Bologna, Italy. That was the gist of his message “The role of religious leaders and institutions in responding to the crisis in the Arab region” to the audience, which he addressed remotely as he was unable to attend in person due to the crisis in Lebanon and the work of the Holy See to assist the needy families of the Armenian community in the country.

WORCESTER PARISH SPONSORS 29 CHILDREN OF WAR MARTYRS; MORE SPONSORS NEEDED

In response to the Prelacy’s appeal to support the families of martyred Armenian soldiers, Rev. Fr. Torkom Chorbajian, Pastor, and the Board of Trustees of Holy Trinity Church of Worcester, Massachusetts, called upon the parish, who has undertaken the sponsorship of 29 children who lost their fathers in the Turkish-Azerbaijani war against Armenia last year. Our thanks to all sponsors, wishing that this example may have followers.

Unfortunately, new names were added this week and we currently have a total of 144 children, orphans of soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the Artsakh war, waiting for your assistance in the lists of the St. Nerses the Great Organization in Armenia.
