Fall Women's Retreat: “Questions of Jesus” led by Canon Whitney
Saturday, October 3 | 9 AM-3 PM | CSMSG Jesus asks more than 300 questions in the Gospels — yet directly answers only a few. Join Canon Whitney for a day of reflection, conversation, and spiritual renewal, exploring the questions Jesus asks throughout Scripture and what he may be asking of us today. The day includes quiet reflection, journaling, and small-group conversation before returning to the Gospel stories themselves. Come slow down, reconnect with Jesus, and listen for how he is calling you as a disciple and as part of this parish. Register on Realm, or contact Lindsay: lsteuber@csmsg.org.

"One Story About One God: The Bible in 60 Minutes" by Daniel Smith
Sunday, October 11 | 11:30 AM-1 PM
What if reading the Bible isn't something you should do — but something you get to do? That's the question at the heart of a conversation between Marty Chapman and Daniel Smith, Associate Professor of New Testament at Saint Louis University and a beloved teacher of our 8th grade confirmation students for the past 12 years. Daniel will bring that conversation to life in person this fall. On Sunday, October 11, he'll lead an opening lecture — One Story About One God: The Bible in 60 Minutes — followed by a three-week Wednesday evening series beginning later that month as part of Wonderful Wednesdays.
Sign up on Realm or contact the church office at 314-721-1502. All are welcome.

ORGAN PROJECT
Organ Project Fundraising Updates
What was the goal of The Church of St. Michael & St. George Organ Campaign, and how much was raised?
Our goal for the Organ Campaign was $3.8 million. This figure reflects three components: $2.8 million for the Schoenstein & Co. Opus 188 instrument itself, $500,000 for site preparation — the chamber renovation and structural and electrical work needed to house the organ — and $500,000 to establish an Organ Endowment Fund to support its future tuning, maintenance, and repair. As of Monday, September 14, 2026, we have received $4,052,437 in gifts and pledges, exceeding our goal.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who gave to this campaign — your generosity has made it possible for this instrument to become part of worship at St. Michael & St. George for generations to come. Thank you for believing in this project and for helping bring it to life.
How will surplus funds be used?
The original $3.8 million goal was allocated across three priorities: the instrument, site preparation, and the Organ Endowment Fund. Funds raised in excess of the goal will support the continued site preparation as the installation is completed and additional investment in the Organ Endowment Fund to further strengthen long-term support for the instrument's care.

Ministry Spotlight: Racial Reconciliation & Education Equity
This week we spotlight two ministries living out our call to reconcile and serve. Racial Reconciliation offers formation and outreach opportunities within our congregation and beyond — from hosting a weekly conversation table in the Great Hall to supporting Diocesan celebrations and community partners like Arthur Johnson Community Outreach. Education Equity’s mission is to support equity in education through community partnerships and advocacy for equity in education. This is a listening ministry. They communicate with school personnel to learn which resources from CSMSG can best address school needs.
Interested in getting involved with either ministry?
Stop by the Great Hall on Sunday, or email:
