A couple of weeks ago, you should have received a letter in the mail from our Spiritual Resources Team with your family's Commitment Card for 2025. We ask you to prayerfully consider your giving - time, talent, and treasure - for this coming year. Then indicate that on your Commitment Card and return it to the church during worship this Sunday November 10. There is a label with your name on the outside of that envelope, so please seal the card inside. It will not be opened, but returned to you in the New Year so you can remember your commitment to God's work through this church! There are extra Commitment Cards in the entry way. Thank you!

A PASTORAL WORD FOR THIS WEEK

Friends, presidential elections can be times of anxiety and concern for all of us, regardless of who you vote for. And no matter who wins it has seemed that half of the country is celebrating while the other half is devastated. Because of this, please be gentle with yourself and your neighbors. No matter what, God has called us to love – love God and love our neighbors. We are called to preach and live out the Good News of Jesus Christ. New Life is called to be a light in the world. Again, be gentle, my friends.

ACCESS WORSHIP

WOMEN'S CRAFT EVENT

On Saturday November 16 from 7-9p Second Story Studio is having a craft night! We're overdue for a craft night out so come create a stunning wood mosaic for yourself or gift to a hostess this holiday season! RSVP by 11/13 to secure your spot. ADULT FAITH FORMATION AND DINNER!!!!

Come join us for a vital conversation using The Difference Course – a resource from the Church of England’s Reconciliation Project. The aim is to explore what it means to follow Jesus in a complex and divided world. It includes videos, engaging activities, and Bible study. Join us on Wednesdays November 6, 13, and 20 at 6:15pm or join us at 6pm for dinner.

THANKSGIVING EVE WORSHIP

Join us on Wednesday November 27 at 6:30pm as we give God thanks for all our many blessings! As we worship God specifically for the blessings of our tables, we remember those who may not enjoy the abundance we have as we conclude our food drive for St. Mark's Food Pantry. Come give God thanks! And then stay for pie!

FAITHFUL FINANCIAL FOUNDATIONS CLASSES

We have a wealth of knowledge in this congregation about how to manage, care for, and share your resources. Our Spiritual Resources Team has been put together classes in order to share this knowledge with you! This Sunday at 11am, come to the Classroom for an open forum discussion. These are not intended to be professional financial advise, however we do think there is great wisdom to be shared! If you would like to grow in your stewardship of all that God has given, please come join this conversation! Sunday November 10 at 11am

POINSETTIA ORDERS

Please help us beautify our Worship Center for Christmas Eve with your order of a poinsettia plant. The deadline to submit your order is Wednesday, November 20.

Ways to order: 1) Sign up on the hard copy sheet on the Welcome Table; or, 2) Contact the church office. They can be in honor or memory of a loved one. They'll have a label on the back so that you may take your poinsettia home with you following Christmas Eve services. Options are: Red, White or Variegated Pink plant color, and sizes and prices are 6 1/2" - $18, 7 1/2" - $28, 8 1/2" - $40. Please indicate these options with your order and payment before November 20! The colors and prices are also listed on the order form. Payment may be made by check to New Life Church or on Vanco/Venmo with Poinsettia in the memo.

CHILDREN & YOUTH MINISTRY POSITION

With Jessica's departure, we are actively seeking a new person for her position. We have posted the job description in many different places – if you would like to share our Facebook post, please do! PRAYER TEAM

This team gathers for prayer on Saturdays from 7-8 am. Church doors are locked, so just knock and we will let you in. If you are wondering if we are meeting due to weather, etc. text or call Jean at 608-957-2781. Thank You :)  

BIBLE MILESTONE MINISTRY

If your child did not receive their Bible last Sunday, its located in the church office! Please let Pastor Heather know you'd like to pick it up.

NEW LIFE KIDS - Sundays at 8:50am.

Kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to join us each Sunday morning in the ReCreation Center! This week we will be learning about The Lord is my Shepherd through OT Bible Lesson!

BABY TO 4K FAMILIES - Sunday at 8:50am Families with babies - 4K are invited to meet in the Kidzone to spend time together. This is a time for children to play together and for families to connect.

NEW LIFE KIDS VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

ST. MARK'S FOOD PANTRY

St Mark’s food pantry sends a big thank you to all who have contributed to our food drive. A delivery was made on Tuesday because the table was overflowing with donations! They are so appreciative for our help in stocking their food shelves with items that are requested that they are unable to get from Second Harvest.  

This week's need is Breakfast Items- Cereal, Oatmeal in packets, jam, jelly, coffee and breakfast bars

Donations can be placed on the table in the Community Room. Thanks for your continued support of this wonderful ministry. Future week donations:

November 17 Toilet Paper

November 24 Celebrations- cookie and cake mixes, frosting, sugar, flour, baking soda, baking powder, cooking oil, chocolate chips, canned pumpkin

If you can donate paper or plastic bags they need them as well!!

TEEN GIFT DRIVE

Time to start preparing for the NEW LIFE TEEN GIFT DRIVE. We will once again be working with the Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) who will distribute the gifts we provide at their annual holiday event.

The collection box will show up at church on November 10th - the deadline for collecting items is December 8th. We are hoping to have the BBBS Amazon Wishlist link available within the next week or so. In the meantime, talk with your favorite teen for ideas and start thinking about what you are able to contribute!

FUNDRAISER FOR SCHOOL IN ETHIOPIA

Pastor Heather and her family will be traveling to Ethiopia, Emma's birth country, during her sabbatical in January. And as a family, they'd like to give back to the community close to where Emma was born. Roots Ethiopia is a non-profit working in that part of the country and has recently opened a high school that is need of text books. They are only $7/book so let's see how many books we can provide before the Hayward's return in February! Click this link to be taken to a secure site through Roots Ethiopia's website. If you wish to give through New Life instead, please be sure to indicate "Ethiopia fundraiser" with your donation.

SOCIAL PURPOSE FUND

We continue to need your help in order to be able to distribute gift cards to those in need - which totals on average about $1,000 every month! Because of the increased need, if you would be able to give to this fund, please submit checks with "Social Purpose Fund" in the memo or give online to that fund. Thank you! Also, please know that if you are experiencing any financial need (rent/mortgage, utilities, groceries, medical, unemployment/furlough, etc.) you only need to let Pastor Heather know. This information will be keep confidential to her and our financial officers (treasurer and bookkeeper).
