SUNDAY SERMON SHOUTOUT
This week our sermon will be present by MEGHAN WALSH, founder of Roots Ethiopia. Roots Ethiopia is a nonprofit dedicated to fundraising for: Providing business training and support for women to improve their lives and keep their children in school; School Improvement Projects - supporting improving over 31 government primary schools with learning materials and teacher training; sponsoring 250 children to attend school and providing food support to their families. Meghan, trained as a Cultural Anthropologist, created this organization after a friend in Ethiopia asked for help during a famine; fifteen years later, she is still "helping." New Life raised funds for books for a school in Ethiopia during the first phase of Pastor Heather's sabbatical.

GIVING TREE
We will be launching a donation opportunity over 4th of July weekend to continue to support the Afzali family. They are the family of 7 from Afghanistan that New Life sponsored who recently moved to Madison.
Look for the giving tree, similar to what you’ve seen at Christmas time, in the community room starting on July 6th. There will be “ornaments” with specific items the 5 children will need as they get ready for the school year.
If you participate in worship remotely and would like to make a donation or for any other questions, please contact Kathy Mullen.

FASHION SHOW

ST MARK'S FOOD PANTRY
Thank you for your continued support of St Mark’s food pantry. Your generosity in donating shelf stable food is appreciated. Our focus as we head into the summer months will be condiments (ketchup, mustard, salad dressing, hot sauce and barbecue sauce) as these are normally not available from the Second Harvest Food Bank. Donations (including paper, plastic and reusable bags) can be placed on the table in the community room. However, our support of the pantry extends beyond the donation of food. Two of the members of our congregation, Donna Butler and Cheryll Steinke, are regular volunteers at the pantry. Thank you Donna and Cheryll for your support of this ministry. If you are interested in exploring volunteer opportunities you can contact Mark Taylor at stmarksfeeds@gmail.com.

SOCIAL PURPOSE FUND
We continue to need your help in order to be able to distribute gift cards to those in need - which totals on average about $1,000 every month! Because of the increased need, if you would be able to give to this fund, please submit checks with "Social Purpose Fund" in the memo or give online to that fund. Thank you! Also, please know that if you are experiencing any financial need (rent/mortgage, utilities, groceries, medical, unemployment/furlough, etc.) you only need to let Pastor Heather know. This information will be kept confidential to her and our financial officers (treasurer and bookkeeper).
