thy kingdom come 2022.jpg

Pastor Heather would like to invite you into a time of prayer from now until Sunday, June 5 (Pentecost Sunday). “Thy Kingdom Come” is a global prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray for God’s Spirit to be renewed and revived in our communities and for more people to come to know Jesus.

What started in 2016 as an invitation from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York to the Church of England has grown into an international and ecumenical call to prayer. During these 10 days, please check out for more resources and information.

“In praying 'Thy Kingdom Come' we all commit to playing our part in the renewal of the nations and the transformation of communities." Archbishop Justin Welby

During the height of Covid, it didn’t feel safe to bring back nametags in the way we used to use them. But with so many new people and visitors each week, we need to restore this hospitable practice. Next Sunday, June 5th, we will have nametags pre-printed on the partition in the Community Room for all regular attenders - plus blank nametag cards available for visitors.  If you don't find yours there, please sign the sheet on the table next to the partition and we will make one for you!  Once you get your nametag, it's yours to keep and take home and bring back with you each time you come to church.

Do You Like Breakfast?

Who doesn't enjoy having some good food with friends on a Sunday morning after church service?

We NEED someone to sign up to prepare and serve our "First Sunday of the Month" Breakfast on JUNE 5 - which is Pentecost Sunday (make something RED, with strawberries as an idea?) It's not difficult to do, and you can enlist the help of some friends! Please see the sign-up sheet on the window by the kitchen serving counter, or let the office know.

Let's enjoy a great start to the month of JUNE!

We always encourage and appreciate volunteers for the Welcome Team to help out with parts of the worship service, such as greeter, welcome table, usher, tellers and coffee server. For JUNE please sign up here.

Help us fill in the gaps.

Anyone is invited to join the Welcome Team anytime!

Dinner and Wacky Wednesday (game night!) takes place tonight for ALL AGES, with dinner beginning at 5:30 pm!

Activities will take place afterwards. Tonight it will be kickball and outside games, with some inside options. Next week we have tentatively planned for a bonfire.

Tonight's meal will be hosted by Russ and Shirley Theel, but we need more helpers for all the Wednesday dinners in JUNE! If you can help, it's easy, and you can get family, friends, or a group to help you! See the sign-up sheets by the kitchen serving window. And then after dinner, we’ll select a couple of different wacky activities to do together – outdoor and indoor options. For example, crafts, games, or movies inside and group games or projects outside (weather permitting).

Come and enjoy good food, fun, and fellowship!

Come enjoy a lovely afternoon with great entertainment! The dance troupe, Magnum Opus, that has joined us in worship will perform and share news of their new Arts Studio opening soon. And then Mad City Funk will delight us with wonderful music! Plus, our youth and leaders headed to the Boundary Waters will be offering a cookout dinner as a fundraiser throughout the afternoon. Stay tuned for more details, but be sure to put it on your calendar!

We have established a partnership with the Nehemiah Center, which means that we will be looking for and offering ways for you to connect with their leadership in our area serving communities of color. We will highlight ways that you can personally and with your family grow this partnership alongside what we're doing as a congregation.  Kathy Mullen is currently collecting the following items (women's toiletries):  shampoo and conditioner, toothbrush and toothpaste, feminine hygiene products, razors, lotion, deodorant and body wash.  Just place items on or around the table in the front lobby.

Other ways you and your family can partner: support black-owned businesses (click here for a list), visit to support refugees, visit to help with disaster response around the nation, or to find another way to give back to people in need.
