WALKING THE LABYRINTH POSTPONED TO TOMORROW!!!

How and Why, led by Terri Beck-Engel

Thursday, July 17th, 6:30-7:30pm

Due to expected weather and humidity tonight, we are moving this event to tomorrow night when it will be nicer and less humid. Come learn how to walk our beautiful outdoor labyrinth and how it can become a life practice, walking prayer, meditation and a centering with God in nature.

SUPER SALE!

If you'd like to drop off your donation, please stop by during office hours (8a-2p Monday-Thursday). If you need different times, please call the office. To sort women's clothes, contact Melanie Stepherson for dates and directions. Any large baby items we don't take (cribs, car seats, etc.) can be given to Babies and Beyond, 1922 S. Stoughton Rd. Deadline for donations is 7pm this Friday, July 18--drop offs that day are 5-7pm. There is a sorting event that night - see below for more. Final sorting will be Sunday, July 20, 11-1; pricing party on July 21 and 22, 6-8pm. Final zhuzhing, if needed, is July 23, 6-8pm. The Sale runs on Thursday July 24 from 12-6p, Friday July 25 from 9a-2p, and then our FREE day Saturday July 26 from 9-11a. WE NEED YOUR HELP!!! Signups are active (click here to sign up or on the Welcome Table) and we welcome the Bake Sale this year (please see below)!

WOMEN'S EVENT

The July Women's event will be helping to sort for our New Life Super Sale! The last night for dropping off donations will be Friday, July 18, so we thought it would be a great night to have a sorting party! We will work from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm (or whenever you can get there) and then we'll go out for ice cream together! If a guy or two wants to join us, we certainly won't turn them away!

SUPER SALE BAKE SALE

We will be holding a bake sale on Thursday of the Super Sale. Please consider donating a baked good of your choice. Please sign up here to help out!

BREAKFAST SIGN UPS FOR THIS FALL!

Do You Like Breakfast? On the First Sunday of the Month we like to enjoy a nice breakfast between services, hosted between 9:00-11:00 a.m. The next "First Breakfast" will be Sunday, August 3rd.We need people to sign up to host breakfasts this fall! See sign-up sheets for 2025 on the left kitchen serving window. We'd love to have your help! It could be a couple of families/friends, a small group you meet with, even a whole ministry team! It's fun and easy to do, and we can help you with details. Contact us in the church office to let us know.

HR TEAM!

Is HR your calling? Do you have experience in hiring? Employment law? We need you on our HR team! This new team will assist Pastor Heather in a handful of tasks and the commitment would be minimal. If you have questions or are interested, please contact Jillene .

PROPERTY TEAM HELP!

We need some folks to help with the watering necessary on the property. These people would keep the hoses repaired, water the new red maple tree by picnic tables, and other new plantings. This could be done every other week for 2-4 hours. Please contact the church office for more information.

GIVING TREE

Earlier this month, we launched a donation opportunity to continue to support the Afzali family. They are the family of 7 from Afghanistan that New Life sponsored who recently moved to Madison. THANK YOU for taking all of the ornament tags! If you would like to still be able to help, or if you participate in worship remotely and would like to make a donation or for any other questions, please contact Kathy Mullen. Please return gifts, unwrapped, on or before Sunday, July 27th! Thank you!

FASHION SHOW

Our Social Purpose Team is sponsoring this special event on July 19th as a way to support our Afghan neighbors and friends. Invite a friend and come for any part of the event that fits your schedule. ST MARK'S FOOD PANTRY

St Mark’s food pantry is blessed to have New Life Church as a community partner. There are lots of choices when it comes to donating and our generosity as a congregation is amazing  I wish everyone could experience the smiles and thanks I receive every time a delivery is made. It is definitely heartwarming to know our donations make a difference in the lives of others Although condiments are always a need in the summer months, the pantry is running especially low on soup (chicken noodle or meat with vegetables), ramen noodles and jellies/jams. Donations (including paper, plastic and reusable bags) can also be placed on the table in the community 

SOCIAL PURPOSE FUND

We continue to need your help in order to be able to distribute gift cards to those in need - which totals on average about $1,000 every month! Because of the increased need, if you would be able to give to this fund, please submit checks with "Social Purpose Fund" in the memo or give online to that fund. Thank you! Also, please know that if you are experiencing any financial need (rent/mortgage, utilities, groceries, medical, unemployment/furlough, etc.) you only need to let Pastor Heather know. This information will be kept confidential to her and our financial officers (treasurer and bookkeeper).
