END OF SUMMER BONFIRE TONIGHT
Come celebrate the coming of fall with an end of summer bonfire in our New Life firepit today Wednesday August 27 at 6pm. Bring your own dinner and drink, and a chair if desired, but s'mores will be provided. Join in this time to share where you saw God this summer and what you're looking forward to in this new season. All are welcome!

FALL ADULT FAITH FORMATION
As the summer begins to wind down, we look toward September anticipating the restart of Sunday and Wednesday Faith Formation, as well as Thursday morning Women's Bible Study. Plan now to join in one of these options as we're called to grow our faith!
Wednesday Faith Formation – beginning September 10, we will be looking at the life and teachings of St. Paul. Bring your own dinner if you'd like and join us for conversation at 6:15pm each Wednesday.
Sunday Faith Formation – beginning September 14, we will discuss a topic often left undiscussed: end-of-life issues. But it will happen for all of us. What does God say about it? How can I be prepared and prepare my family? Why are we so scared of death? We will talk about death from all angles - practical, theological, and emotional.
Thursday Women's Bible Study - beginning September 4, they will be studying the Book of Revelation. Come for this exciting conversation about an often misunderstood book of Scripture.
We hope you will plan to grow your faith this fall!

WOMEN'S MINISTRY FALL EVENTS
Please save the dates for our fall gatherings! We hope all women and their friends will join us for times together to grow in faith and fellowship! We will schedule these events on the second Thursday of the month as often as possible to have some consistency. More information to come about these upcoming fall dates. If you’d like to receive emails about these events, please let Janice Newell know (buckyshome6@yahoo.com).
September 11 – Bunco Night at Church! Hot beef sandwiches will be provided. Please bring a dish to pass and your own beverage (in a spill proof cup). We will share a meal at 6:00, have a short devotion, and learn how to play the dice game Bunco.
October 9 - Gather at Cambridge Winery 6-8pm
November 1 - Greater Things Women's Conference in Sun Prairie
December 11 - Advent by Candlelight women's event 6-8pm

WELCOME SUNDAY
On Sunday October 5, we will again gather as a whole community at one worship service at 9am! Along with our joint worship service and our usual first Sunday breakfast, we will welcome new community partners that day. PLUS we want to make a concerted effort to invite people to worship that day, so we will be talking about this in worship - who will you invite? We will have gifts to give visitors that day so please start inviting friends and neighbors to join us that day!

ST MARK'S FOOD PANTRY
Thank you to all who have donated to St Mark’s food pantry. Last week your donations again filled the back of our SUV. Your support and generosity is so appreciated by those working at the pantry. It allows those shopping the pantry to have a more pleasant experience since they get the foods they want. Although any donations of shelf stable food are welcome, canned fruit, diced tomatoes and jam are currently in short supply. Donations can be placed on the table in the community room. Paper, plastic and reusable bags can also be donated.

SOCIAL PURPOSE FUND
We continue to need your help in order to be able to distribute gift cards to those in need - which totals on average about $1,000 every month! Because of the increased need, if you would be able to give to this fund, please submit checks with "Social Purpose Fund" in the memo or give online to that fund. Thank you! Also, please know that if you are experiencing any financial need (rent/mortgage, utilities, groceries, medical, unemployment/furlough, etc.) you only need to let Pastor Heather know. This information will be kept confidential to her and our financial officers (treasurer and bookkeeper).
