Letter from Richard: We did it! And other thoughts
Dear St. Paul’s,
We have something to celebrate: we have met our stewardship goal for 2026 of $1.05 million! Each year as we prepare for our annual pledge campaign, I’m reminded that stewardship is never merely about numbers—it’s about the story those numbers tell. This year, that story is particularly powerful. It paints a picture of a community that is giving more per household than ever before, a community rooted in generosity, resilience, and deep commitment. It also challenges us to reflect on how we nurture and grow the circle of people who call St. Paul’s their spiritual home. As we look toward a season of transition and discernment, the faithfulness of our people continues to be one of our greatest strengths. As ever, it also makes me incredibly grateful to every one of you... Click here to read the letter.

Forum: Seeking the Sacred in Our Day to Day World (Part 5)
9 am, In the Guild Room
Led by the Rev. Canon Allisyn Thomas
The season of Lent calls upon us to enter into a period of self-examination in which we face, hopefully with honesty and compassion, the nature of our relationship with God and the sacred within our midst. What gives us life? What distracts us? What are we missing as we go about our busy lives, often on autopilot? During this Lenten forum series, utilizing the wisdom found in An Altar in the World, A Geography of Faith by Barbara Brown Taylor, as well as the wisdom of those present, the Rev. Canon Allisyn Thomas will help guide our exploration to help us understand “no physical act is too earthbound or too humble to become a path to the divine.” While it is not necessary to have a copy of the book, it will help deepen the exploration.

Staff News
Back in August, when Judy MacDonald suffered an accident, we were blessed to find Emmi Bissell, who stepped in on a temporary basis as receptionist and quickly became a valued member of the staff team. After some six months of excellent work, Emmi has secured a position closer to her home, and she left the cathedral last week. We will miss her, but we are grateful for her contribution and wish her every blessing. Kathleen Sheehan Burgess is preparing to advertise the position. If you know of someone who might be interested, please have them check out the job description on the cathedral website at stpaulcathedral.org/careers/

Good Friday Offering
Since 1922 the Episcopal Church has encouraged individuals and parishes to take up an offering on Good Friday, to send to the Episcopal Church in Jerusalem. This year the need is especially urgent, as the Church attempts to relieve the suffering of the people of Gaza and to support the lifesaving work of Ahli Hospital, which has been damaged in the conflict. If you would like to participate in this special offering, please make a donation to the Cathedral and mark it “Good Friday (for Jerusalem)”. You can do so in person or online (Click Here) selecting "other offering" and writing "Good Friday (for Jerusalem)" in the memo.

Feeling the Call to Reaffirm your Faith?
At various points in our lives we may want to make a fresh start or rededicate ourselves to our Christian faith. The Great Vigil of Easter, on April 4 at 7:15 pm, presents an annual opportunity for the reaffirmation of vows. If you are a confirmed Episcopalian but would like the opportunity to formally reaffirm your faith before the Bishop at the Great Vigil, please contact Brooks Mason as soon as possible at masonb@stpaulcathedral.org so that you can complete the paperwork and have a preliminary conversation with clergy before we finalize the service bulletin. Reaffirmation can be done multiple times, unlike confirmation. If you are feeling the call to be confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church (a prerequisite for a number of licensed ministries), please likewise contact Brooks as soon as possible.
