From the Classroom
8th Grade Science - We are working on how to conduct scientific investigations with an emphasis on Independent Variables, Dependent Variables, Control Groups, Experimental Groups, and Data Collection. This week we conducted an investigation on how we can make sand hydrophobic and what practical applications can this type of sand be used in. I am very proud of all the hard work the students put in to make this investigation a success. - Mr. Broschk

FACE Corner (Family and Community Engagement)

Hopefully by now your child has set up a good time to do their homework and has a good area set aside for them to be successful!

The next part of being successful is sleep! Studies say that teenagers need 8-10 hours of sleep every night. Check out this article from Teens Health

Please let your child's teachers or counselor know if there are any issues that they should be aware of regarding sleep (and other topics).
