This summer we continue in the season of Pentecost and finish strong with a series called The Freedom of Enough. It explores what is enough.

  • Is love really ENOUGH to change the world?
  • Do I have ENOUGH faith?
  • Am I good ENOUGH for God?
  • Am I doing ENOUGH to earn God’s love?
  • No, but really . . . Is there actually ENOUGH for all?
  • OR is it a distribution issue?
  • Is God’s grace really ENOUGH to cover my sins?

As we celebrate the 250th year of the United States and our freedom this summer, we delve into the Freedom of Enough. We get to ask questions of our faith, a gift we never want to take for granted. If you’ve ever found yourself asking these questions, trying to prioritize your life and yet wondering if what you're doing is enough for God, let’s faithfully turn to the Bible and to God who has enough love and grace for all!

Something new is coming to 10:00am worship!

Our worship team and board have been dreaming, exploring, and reimagining the look and feel of our 10:00am service—and we’re excited to share it with you! This fresh new style launches Sunday, September 13, and we’d love for you to come experience it with us! Hear from a few members of the team about what’s coming by checking out the video below!

We’re so excited for our upcoming Fall Fest, and we need YOU to help make it a success! There are plenty of fun volunteer opportunities to help bring the carnival to life for people of all ages.

As a thank-you for volunteering, every child in your household will receive 20 free tickets to use on carnival games, the bounce house, and more!

Check out the volunteer opportunities using the link below, or stop by the tables in the Gathering Space before or after worship on August 23 or 30 to meet the planning committee and learn more.

September Speaker - Jeanne Putman with the Orphan Train

Did you know that every female member of the ELCA is a member of WELCA? Women in 4,500 congregations across the country gather in meetings to support each other, study the Bible, and support programs that help women. At First Lutheran, approximately 40 women gather monthly to listen to speakers, enjoy a sweet treat, and enjoy each other’s company. About 75 women also participate in Bible Study Circles. Our WELCA raises money to support our seminary students and our preschool. We would love for you to join us with your friends so we can support one another and study the Word of God together.

We will meet in the Gathering Space at 11:15am. Segments of the road will be given out, and everyone will disperse in teams. The more, the merrier (and the faster we finish)! Trash bags and reflective vests will be provided - just bring your own gloves. A light meal will be served afterward. Sign up online below or at the Welcome Center.

This event is happening in conjunction with the ELCA’s “God’s work. Our hands.” day of service. These acts of service allow us to explore one of our most basic Lutheran convictions: All of life in Jesus Christ - every act of service, in every daily calling, in every corner of life - flows freely from a living, daring confidence in God’s grace.

Participants will need to source & purchase their own guidebooks.

Join This Little Light Kids Choir!

Calling all 2nd–5th graders! Come sing, make new friends, have fun, and let your light shine in This Little Light Kids Choir!

Kids practice with Paula every Wednesday from 4:40–5:15pm in Room 1B, beginning September 9th. The choir sings approximately once a month on Sundays and once a month on Wednesdays.

Kids can join anytime throughout the year, but now is the perfect time to join!

Sharing a meal is one of the most meaningful ways to connect—whether it’s making new friends or reconnecting with familiar faces. When you sign up for Food & Fellowship, we will place you in a group of six people (couples and/or singles) who will meet for food, fun, and fellowship 3-4 times from September 2026 to August 2027. Your group decides when and where you gather based on what works for your calendar, rotating hosts each time you meet. Your group can enjoy breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner at a restaurant or rotate hosting in your homes. No need to make big, extravagant meals. Keep it simple - pizza, potluck, or even appetizers so you have time to enjoy each other’s company and get to know one another in a relaxed and comfortable setting.

If you participated last year, please sign up again! RSVP by September 16th.
