Dear Chamber Members,

As we get ready to say goodbye to August and gear up for September, we would like to invite you to the 2014 Harvest & Music Festival. For more details, please check out the summary of events below! We hope to see you there!

Business After Hours

Our next Business After Hours event will be held at McCullers, Whitaker and Hamer, PLLC on Tuesday, September 8 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Come out for some food, fun and networking, and don't forget your business cards! Their law office is located at 425 Lombard Street in Clayton. For more information, click here.

Pageant Registration Extended to Friday

On Sunday, September 21, we will be having our first annual Harvest & Music Festival pageant and we are taking male and female contestants ages 0-10 (male) and 0-21 (female). Come compete in this natural pageant to win a trophy, crown or maybe even a supreme title! There is no talent or interview for the pageant, and judging will be based on the contestant's personality and confidence on stage. This is a great starter pageant for anyone interested! Have you ever heard of Christmas in July? This year, we are having Christmas in August! We are already starting registration for the 2014 Clayton Christmas Parade. Our early bird deadline with $10.00 discount is only available until September 12, so get your entry in early if you'd like to take advantage of this offer! Member Breakfast Exchange

On Friday, August 22nd, we had our monthly Member Breakfast Exchange for the month of August. This month's event was sponsored by Zaxby's and hosted by McDonald's. Everyone in attendance got a coupon for a free Zaxby's lunch! We were glad to see everyone come out!

On Thursday, August 21, We had a ribbon cutting for Char Grill Clayton. Char Grill Clayton is the 11th unit of the local chain, which was founded in 1960 in Raleigh, NC. Char Grill is famous for "Hamburger Steak" sandwiches, Brightleaf "Red" Hotdogs, french fries & milk shakes. This newest location in Clayton is at 11581 US Hwy. 70 Business West at the Clayton Corners Shopping Center, behind KS Bank. Be sure to visit them for their delicious food.
