Adult Formation Series: Being Christian
Led by
The Rev. Tricia Lyons
Wednesday Evenings starting October 28
7:00-8:00 pm
What does it actually mean to be Christian?
Not as a set of ideas to agree with,
but as a life shaped by four simple things:
baptism, the Bible, the Eucharist, and prayer.
This fall we will read Being Christian by Rowan Williams, former Archbishop of Canterbury, and talk together about the practices at the heart of our common life. Williams writes with warmth and clarity, and the book is short enough to read a chapter a week without adding stress to your evenings. Whether these topics are brand new to you or you have been hearing them in church for decades, there is more here than any of us has finished discovering. Come for the conversation, the questions, and the joy of learning alongside one another. All are welcome.
Books at no cost are be available through our parish office or at the first session. For more information, please speak with Rev. Tricia Lyons.
