SCRIPTURE LESSON:

Jeremiah 29:4-7,10-13

MESSAGE:

“A Future Filled With Hope”

Happening This Week

Celebrating Our Child Development Center:

Hopeful Futures Among Us

This Sunday in worship, we will welcome many special guests among us: teachers who serve and children who attend our Child Development Center program. Expect to hear preschool children singing, reports from CDC ministry team members and CDC director, and recognition for the many of teachers who make this outreach possible.

We will continue in our series of messaging exploring scriptures from the "exile," this week the words from Jeremiah 29 that encourage commitment to seeking the goodwill of one's present place, establishing homes, families, and gardens, all of which will benefit their neighbors as well as themselves. Through all of it, we are invited to pray for the future of our city, searching and finding the God who will listen and grant us hope.

Mark Dewalt, a native of nearby Berks County, earned his bachelor’s degree in social sciences from Muhlenberg College and a Ph.D. in Educational Research and Evaluation at the University of Virginia. He is a faculty emeritus at Winthrop University.
