Happening This Week

Fourth Sunday of Advent

and Christmas Eve!

This Sunday is Christmas Eve, and we will hold two services to properly observe the fullness of this season. Sunday morning is the fourth Sunday of Advent, in which we'll consider the journey to and circumstances at Bethlehem as a "village" that led to Jesus' birth. Expect much singing as well as a spoken message exploring meaning of that place and those who would have helped to see that our Lord was safe. 10:30 AM as always.

Sunday evening is Christmas Eve, our candlelight service of lessons and carols, in which we'll recall the angels singing glory to God at the birth of the Son and shepherds going to visit him that wonderful night. Come and sing, pray, and remember the true meaning of this season: Jesus Christ born to us, God's greatest gift to humankind. 6:30 PM music, 7:00 PM service begins.

This Sunday we light the candle of Love and the Christ candle, remembering that the story of Jesus is ultimately one of love. In Christ we find union with God and one another, and we respond with praise! As usual, all are welcome.
