HANDBELL CONCERT
The Hershey Handbell Ensemble will present a concert on Sat., April 27, 2019 at 7:00 pm in the sanctuary. Everyone is invited. This is one of three concerts the ensemble is presenting during this spring season and the only one in the York area, so we are anticipating a full house. You don’t want to miss this opportunity to hear a first-class handbell ensemble.
The concert is free and open to the public. A free-will offering will be collected to help cover expenses.
The Ensemble was formed in 2004 and is based in south-central Pennsylvania. It was formed to fulfill the need for an auditioned community ensemble comprised of persons able to play advanced literature, interested in advancing the art of handbell ringing through education and performance while uniting people through the musical arts. The fifteen- member group under the direction of Dr. Shawn Gingrich performs on seven octaves of Malmark Handbells, Hand-chimes, and other assorted instruments.
The Ensemble will have their selection of popular CD recordings available for purchase at the concert.
