APRIL 6, 2019 – From the Spiritual Enrichment Team: “Come Away” – A Time of Retreat
, Saturday, April 6th, 8:30 AM – Noon ~You are invited to a time of quiet reflection and sharing of our faith journeys. The morning begins in the Lounge with light refreshments at 8:30 am. Our time together will be led by Nancy Jones.

APRIL 6, 2019 - Life Line Screening
, a leading provider of community-based preventive health screenings, is pleased to offer a preventive health event at First Church of the Brethren on April 6th. Five screenings will be offered that scan for potential health problems. Information is available on the table in the Gathering Area.
APRIL 7, 2019 - Spring Congregational Forum, following worship:
Packets are available to be picked up on the table in the Gathering Area. There are two sections. The forum booklet and the treasurer’s report.

ORDER EASTER FLOWERS
~ It's that time of year to be ordering flowers for Easter Sunday, April 21st. Orders will be taken on Sunday - March 31
st
in the narthex.

APRIL 17, 2019 - EASTER EGG HUNT
(Rain or Shine)
The Easter Egg Hunt will be held on April 17
th
from 5:30 until 7:00 pm. There will be sign-up sheets on the bulletin board for those who plan to come. If you would like to help, there will be a column on the sign-up sheet. Sign up by April 10

There will be a box in the narthex for donations of plastic eggs and any extra baskets you might be willing to share
. The children are to bring their own but we might need extras. Monetary donations are accepted by using the envelopes in the pews and checks should be made out to First Church of the Brethren and in memo section put egg hunt
. Volunteers are needed for Egg hiding, taking groups to hunt for eggs, setting and cleaning up, and helping children know where to go.

APRIL 19, 2019 – GOOD FRIDAY TENEBRAE SERVICE
– 7:30 PM in the Sanctuary
APRIL 21, 2019 - The Fellowship and Hospitality Team is hosting the Easter Breakfast
on Sunday, April 21st from 9 am until 10 am. All food and drink will be provided. A free will offering basket at the door will help defray the costs.

We will NOT have JAM choir practice March 31, April 7, or April 14th. Otherwise practice will be from 9:50 to 10:10 am Sunday mornings for children ages 4 to 5th grade through May 19. All children are welcome to join us! We meet in the children's Sunday school room. The JAM choir will sing during Sunday worship on May 12 and May 19.

Sign up in the narthex to make a casserole or to work at the Soup Kitchen on Friday, April 12, 2019 (10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.) PLEASE add your name and number of casseroles, to the SIGN UP sheet, so we can let the Soup Kitchen know how many casseroles to expect.

The sale of Giant & Weis gift cards started mid-2011 and over the last 8 years 5% of the proceeds from the sale of these cards has gone to support ministries designated by the Witness Team. Currently the money goes to Lehman Center, LifePath Ministries, and Carlisle Truck Stop Ministry. The total sales to date is $235,000 with $11,750 being distributed to the designated ministries.
THANK YOU so much for your continued support of this program.
Easter is just around the corner so please consider purchasing the cards for the extra food that the holidays require or donate several to the Food Pantry.

HANDBELL CONCERT
The Hershey Handbell Ensemble will present a concert featuring handbells and other instruments in our sanctuary on Saturday April 27, 2019 at 7:00 PM. They are an auditioned group with a large following in the York-Harrisburg-Hanover area, and we look forward to a “full house” for their first visit to York First COB. Look for more information to follow in the near future.
