Students visit Europe for STEM Immersion


Twenty-two students visited Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and France for a STEM immersion of worldly engineering. The trip focused on engineering related to sustainability practices students are learning in math and science classes. Students were chaperoned by Math Chair Lesley Schooler and Ms. Kristina Levesque.

Follow the tale of a poor, young flower girl (Eliza Doolittle) who has been overlooked and disrespected.

Given the opportunity to improve her station in life, Eliza decides to take language lessons in order to gain the respect of others and improve her life.  Enjoy this modern setting and style of Pygmalion.

Beat Café opens minds to the art of poetry readings

Students gathered in the Inner Court for the Beat Café as another exciting part of the Winton Arts Festival. On Wednesday, students recited poetry at an open mic during lunch as a way to work the arts into their daily lives  while students and faculty gathered to listen in a casual setting.       

Eunice Casa '21 and others recited several poems with the confidence and rhythm of those who truly enjoy the magic of poetry.

Carondelet Athletics offers beginner to advanced skills training in 12 sports with Carondelet's  accomplished and encouraging coaching staff

In addition to the historic gym on the main campus, our new 6.5 acre $20 million dollar Athletics Complex provides a state of the art experience for each child. 

Sign your athletes up for girls and coed camps from rising 3rd graders to rising 9th graders.

Lenten Project needs

For our Lenten Project this year we are partnering with  Get On The Bus . We  will  sponsor a bus trip for children, from the Oakland area, to visit their parents at High Desert State Prison in May.  

Please take the opportunity to contribute to the stay connected bags for each child.  The stay connected bag has the items below in it as well as a small picture frame so each child can have a keepsake picture of child and parent taken during the visit. Other items allow children to write letters to their parents and draw pictures.

Items needed between March 18 and April 12.
* Seniors are collecting stationary, pens, and pencils.
* Juniors are collecting picture frames and stickers.
* Sophomores are collecting colored pencils, crayons, and pencil pouches. 
* Freshman are collecting teddy bears.

Sophomore SAT/ACT Information Night - April 10

The SAT and ACT Information Night provides sophomore students and their parents with a robust introduction to the college admission testing process (SAT/ACT). Join us on April 10 at 7:00 p.m. in the Garaventa Center. A testing expert will cover testing timelines, the difference between the ACT and SAT, and the smart strategies that help with test preparation. 

The college counselors will also cover the action items sophomores and their parents need to know to navigate the road to college.
College and Career Updates

College Kick Start: Junior parents, please  sign your daughter up for our annual college application workshop, College Kick Start, that runs from June 3 to June 7.

  • April 10, Sophomore Road to College Night - Date Change:   In an effort to streamline and maximize your time with us, Sophomore Road to College Night is being combined with Testing Information Night.
  • April 10, SAT and ACT Information Night:  A testing expert will cover the basics you need to know for the SAT and ACT.  The program will begin with the critical information sophomore students and parents need now to plan ahead for college. This event is essential for sophomores and open for freshmen and juniors.
  • May 1: Junior Parents, Save the date for Rising Senior Road to College Night:   We will cover the essential information you and your daughter need to prepare for college applications in the fall.  The evening will include breakout sessions led by college representatives on important topics: community college options, transition programs for first generation and underrepresented students, applying to highly selective colleges, the benefits of the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE), Financial Aid and Scholarships, the CSU System, and more.

7th grade HPST practice test

We have a wonderful opportunity available exclusively for 7th-grade students. Carondelet will be hosting a practice HSPT (High School Placement Test) on Saturday, May 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Garaventa Center on the Carondelet campus. The HSPT is given to all students applying to any Catholic High School in the Oakland, San Jose, or San Francisco Dioceses.  

Our HSPT practice exam is available for girls and boys at $50 per student. This practice exam will help students familiarize themselves with the HSPT and will give insight into current areas of strength and growth. Update: Grad Night volunteers needed - May 26

Pay it forward: Grad Night still needs chaperones and volunteers. For the parents/guardians of juniors, this is the perfect opportunity to have a fresh look into Grad Night for your rising seniors. Help us set a new trend that pays it forward and offer to volunteer as a chaperone!

The Parent Association needs volunteers for  Grad  Night. Some of the volunteer opportunities are tasks people can complete from home and other tasks require chaperones, food items, set up, and other needs.

The Graduation and End of the Year Activities page is live on our website under the Parent tab. Here you can find all information pertaining to the end of the year for your senior. From Senior Ball to Grad Night and everything in between, we have you covered on this page. Senior Parents, an email from Maggie Lettire went out on Friday morning, March 8, regarding graduation and other details.
Carondelet Shuttle Service

Some seats are still available for reservation for the Spring Semester Shuttle.  Reservation requests will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are available for the full length of the spring semester ($500) or on a monthly basis ($160/month).
