Juniors advance to state history competition

"This assignment was so different than anything I've ever done in school. National History Day required me to do in-depth research and design a website to present our project. I enjoyed being able to combine my interest in history and design into one project, " said Francesca Arrigoni, '20.

Carondelet students Ella Scarlett, Jasmine Smalling, Francesca Arrigoni, and Carly Oshel from Mr. Miller's A.P. History class all advanced to the state competition which will be held in May. Mr. Miller's class also includes De La Salle students who advanced to the state competition. The academic partnership Carondelet and De La Salle share reveals the co-educational elements our schools use to help students achieve success. Read More!

Update on Positive Student Action Assembly

Carondelet and De La Salle are joining for a Positive Student Action Assembly on Thursday, March 14. The assembly will  discuss the importance of thoughtful decision making when it comes to alcohol and drugs, caring for self and others, and the consequences of poor decisions . Freshman and sophomores will attend their assembly in the Carondelet Garaventa Center. Juniors and seniors will attend their assembly in the De La Salle Hofmann Center.  Both assemblies will feature guest speakers who will share their stories regarding the effect of alcohol on decision making and the importance of being a responsible bystander in difficult situations.

At the junior/senior assembly, we will share (with students) the results of the pod-based nicotine device, alcohol, and marijuana use survey taken in November 2018. This sharing of the survey will serve as a focus of reflection.
