"I loved seeing the interaction between the Melodores and our students. It was inspiring seeing them work in conjunction with each other and see the creative juices flowing. I couldn't stop smiling after hearing them perform their song after the break-out sessions," said Melissa Jose, Carondelet's Parent Association Board President.

Lenten Project restores families
Get on the Bus - Lenten Project 2019
For our Lenten Project this year we are partnering with
Get On The Bus. We
will sponsor a bus trip for children, from the Oakland area, to visit their parents at High Desert State Prison in May.
When children visit their parents in prison, the day of traveling and visiting is long and emotional. We know that comfort items and ways to stay connected with parents are important.
We will provide a stay connected bag for each child. This bag includes crayons, pens and pencils, stickers, cards, envelopes, and stamps, so each child can write letters and stay in touch with his or her parent. The stay connected bag also has a small picture frame so each child can have a keepsake picture of child and parent taken during the visit. Finally, all children receive a teddy bear to cuddle with on their bus trip home.
Items needed between March 18 and April 12.
* Seniors are collecting stationary, pens, and pencils.
* Juniors are collecting picture frames and stickers.
* Sophomores are collecting colored pencils, crayons, and pencil pouches.
* Freshman are collecting teddy bears.
