Sasha Williams '19 honored at Giants game

Sasha with Giants pitcher Will Smith
Sasha with Nia Wilson's parents

Sasha Williams '19 received a Fall Jefferson Award for her  She Could Have Been One of Us campaign. The campaign honored Nia Wilson and called for an end to violence against black girls. Sasha's work encouraged Natalie Terry,  Coordinator of Service and Social Advocacy at Carondelet, to nominate Sasha for the San Francisco Giants Home Plate Ceremony, a program that recognizes students in action serving the community.
Sasha was honored at the San Francisco Giants Home Plate Ceremony on April 30 before the Giants game.  Sasha invited the parents of Nia Wilson to participate in the ceremony. San Francisco Giants pitcher, Will Smith, congratulated Sasha.

"It was truly an honor to be recognized. The most important recognition is the attention to the campaign and support of Nia's family," said Sasha.

Congratulations to Sasha and the work she does to strengthen our communities.

8th Annual Gently Used
Uniform Sale and fitting - May 16
Please leave donations in the Dean's Office by May 15.

Please support the 8th Annual Gently Used Uniform Sale.  The best part! Proceeds from the sale fund scholarships for the class of 2020.

In 2012, Carondelet started collecting gently used uniforms from seniors as a way to help families purchase extra uniform pieces. Entering our 8th year, we would appreciate your help.

On May 6, 2019, seniors are no longer required to wear school uniforms and their right of passage is a great opportunity to donate any gently used uniform apparel.

Items will be sold at the Parents Associations Gently Used Uniform Sale and Fitting on Thursday, May 16, 2019.

Please encourage your daughter to bring her uniform items in a bag with her name and student ID on it. Donations can be left in the Dean's Office by May 15, 2019. ( Items after May 15 are still accepted however these items will go towards our sale at the Freshmen BBQ in August. )

We need the following gently used items:
  • White, navy blue polo shirts (you can donate other colors to)
  • Plaid and grey skirts
  • Khaki pants and black pants (Seniors only)
  • Navy blue sweaters and vest with logo
  • Fleece zip-ups with logo
  • Blue and white crew and hooded sweatshirts with logo
  • Sports items and spirit wear with logo
  • PE uniforms
Let us know if you have any questions, and t hank you in advance for your help!
