Emergency text message opt-in - Thursday afternoon
In order to receive text messages from Carondelet in emergency situations, you must opt-in. And you can do so immediately by texting the letter Y to 67587.
60% of parents and guardians have already opted in, but many phone numbers are still "pending approval." For those numbers that are still "pending approval,"
Carondelet will send a text prompt at approx. 3:50 p.m. on Thursday, October 4.
The text will be sent from the number "67587" and will read:
"Carondelet High School alerts. Reply Y 2 confirm, HELP 4 info. Msg&data rates may apply. Msg freq varies. schoolmessenger.com/txt"
When you receive the text message on Thursday, simply reply to that text with the letter "Y", and your phone number will be verified and registered in the system.
If you opt-in prior to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday or already have opted-in, you will not receive Thursday's text message described above.
This is a crucial service that we hope to never use. In an emergency, text can be the quickest way to communicate critical information. Thank you in advance for opting in to this important service.
STEM Innovation Center construction has begun!
Construction on our new STEM Innovation Center began in earnest this week as we add to our campus and better provide for our students' education! As we go forward, we will update you on campus procedures that will change as we make an effort to minimize disruption during construction. Four changes to campus live have already gone into effect. They are explained visually and more fully in the video below.
- Fencing and screening is going up around the construction site to separate construction from campus life.
- For safety and security reasons, the pedestrian gate to the crosswalk to De La Salle has closed. All students now walk out our front gate, down the sidewalk and then cross Winton Dr. at the crosswalk.
- Due to construction parking there is no traffic entry through the garage gate. All traffic must now enter through the main entrance by Treat Blvd.
- The good news is that no one will lose a parking space. There will, however, be some reassignments that Mrs. Caitlin Main has already communicated with those impacted. (Goes into effect Wed. Oct. 10)
