Tomorrow, October 10 is our 5th annual Frosh Day of Service! This is a special day when the entire freshman class engages in the Carondelet tradition of "serving our dear neighbor." Please note that this is an integral part of our curriculum and is not optional for any student. We have planned for and expect full participation of all 9th grade students on this very important day.
- Frosh Day of Service is from 8:05 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Attendance will be taken at the beginning of the day.
- All freshman students will report to the Inner Court as soon as they arrive on campus to ensure check-in and attendance process go smoothly.
- Every student needs to do the following:
- eat a hearty breakfast
- bring a reusable water bottle (labeled with their name)
- bring a hearty, healthy, low-waste lunch
- wear jeans and a Carondelet shirt, t-shirt, or sweatshirt
- wear comfortable shoes (no open-toe shoes for safety reasons)
- After a morning welcome and prayer, all students will board buses and ride to their community service sites. Each bus and community service site will have faculty/staff chaperones to supervise and assist while off campus.
- Students will eat lunch and reflect on their experience together in a structured format.
- All students will be dismissed at 1:00 pm.

Emergency text message TEST - Oct. 18
On Thursday, October 18, Carondelet will send a test message using the emergency text system. The message will be sent from 67587. You do not need to respond to the test message.
We will send notices of the test emergency message in next week's e-newsletter and via email the day before the test.
In order to receive text messages from Carondelet in emergency situations, you must opt-in.
75% of all parents and guardians have opted in. And you can do so now by texting the letter Y to 67587.
This is a crucial service that we hope to never use beyond a test. In an emergency, text can be the quickest way to communicate critical information. Thank you in advance for opting in to this important service.
