Morning Coffee with President and Principal - Thursday

Parents of new and returning Carondelet students are encouraged to get to know each other and school leaders at a morning coffee get together. President Bonnie Cotter and Principal Kevin Cushing will be on hand to answer your questions and provide information about the exciting school and campus developments currently in the works.

Parking Lot reminders

When dropping off your daughter/carpool in the morning, please
do not pull into open parking stalls. These stalls are reserved for students and faculty. Please stay in the drop-off lane and pull forward to the drop-off zone.

If the drop-off line is backed-up beyond the drop-off zone, students are welcome to exit your stopped vehicle. Please check your surroundings to ensure your students can safely exit.

After 2:00 p.m., Visitors' parking stalls and empty parking stalls are open to parents/guardians who are picking up their student(s). Please find a free space to avoid double parking.

Juniors and Seniors can rep their class and buy their Powerpuff T-Shirts! Sales close on Friday, September 14 at 12 p.m.
Freshman Road to College Info Night - tomorrow

Freshman Road to College Night is tomorrow, Wednesday, September 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the Garaventa Center. Join Carondelet Director of College Counseling, Mrs. Liz Paz-Rumore, who will share tips for students beginning their journey along the road to college.
CSF Applications open Thursday 

Sign-ups for CSF will be begin this Thursday at our annual Club Fair during lunch. Please have your daughter come to the CSF table if she's interested. Sign-ups will end on September 28 at 3:00 p.m. No applications will be accepted after this time. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Silveira.
Early college applications - Deadline this Friday

If your student is applying early to colleges and has an application deadline of October 15, November 1, or November 15,  she must submit a letter of recommendation request and complete the teacher questionnaires in Naviance by Friday, September 14 . If she does not meet this deadline, her teachers will not be able to complete her letters by the early deadline and she will need to apply regular decision. Please ensure that these deadlines are met so we can best help her apply to colleges!
Jesuit Excellence College tour this Friday

All students are invited to learn about the 28 Jesuit colleges this  Friday at lunch in the DLS Quad . Talk with college representatives from schools like Santa Clara, Seattle University, Gonzaga, Loyola Marymount and more.

Parents, get your Junior/Senior to experience Washington, DC! 

This school year's trip on
Feb. 9-15, 2019 is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for students to experience our government in action through the Close Up Foundation. Get a front row seat to democracy in the halls of Congress as well as in meetings with Washington insiders and media. This experience is designed to help students make a personal connection to their role as a citizen and the issues that churn debate in Washington, DC.

Service Spotlight

Sunrise Assisted Living - Sunrise of Walnut Creek is looking for people to visit residents in their memory care facility. Service could include taking a walk with residents, having conversations, doing art projects and reading aloud.

Opportunities to serve at Sunrise are available Fridays after school and on weekends. Volunteers who are bilingual/Spanish or have musical gifts are especially needed!

Students can sign up to serve at Sunrise and find out about other service opportunities by going to the Campus Ministry office or by filling out this online form

One-time volunteer opportunities:
Walnut Festival - The 82nd Walnut Festival will take place at Heather Farm Park from September 20-23. Join the volunteer team to serve at the Information Booth or the Kid Zone!

Students may sign-up for additional service opportunities or receive more information by contacting   Mrs. Natalie Terry , Coordinator of Service and Social Advocacy or visiting her in the Campus Ministry office.
