Dress Uniform on Thursday

All students must be in Dress Uniform for our Peace Liturgy this  Thursday, September 20. Please review the Uniform Policy to ensure that your daughter is properly dressed.
Breast Cancer Awareness T-Shirts

Carondelet senior council designed this shirt to show individuals battling breast cancer and their families that the Carondelet Sisterhood supports breast cancer awareness. 

Sales close next Monday, September 25.
Shirts are $20 each.

Proceeds from shirt sales will be donated to a worthy organization. Our students are still researching which breast cancer organization will receive the donations. 

Students are asked to wear their shirt to the Pink Out Homecoming game on October 5. Shirts will be available for pick up in the Carondelet school store on October 4.

CSF Applications open 

Sign-ups for CSF have begun. Applications and information are available on the Students page. Sign-ups will end on September 28 at 3:00 p.m. No applications will be accepted after this time. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Silveira.

Our calendar is now online!
We update our online College and Career calendar regularly with college events happening on-campus and throughout the Bay Area, like the upcoming NACAC Visual and Performing Arts College Fair and the Coast-to-Coast College Consortium information session. We post annual parent information nights and in-class student programs too. Bookmark our calendar and stay in the know.

Stanford Financial Aid Information Night

The Director of Financial Aid at Stanford will speak about the FAFSA, financial aid and scholarship opportunities. This event is open to 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students and parents. 

College and Career is Here On Wednesdays Late (HOWL)
Parents of seniors, encourage your daughters to drop by the College & Career Center on Wednesday afternoons. College counselors will answer questions, review essays, and help students with applications. HOWL Wednesdays are a fun tradition that we're excited to bring back this year.  

Lunchtime Career Exploration Series
Is your daughter undecided about a future career path? Please encourage her to attend our lunchtime career exploration series. Join alumna Nicole Benevente '07 on Wednesday, October 3 to discuss the exciting world of project management for construction design. Students will receive list of colleges offering majors for this lucrative career. 
Yearbook Family Ads for Seniors: Early Bird prices still available

Dear Families, help us produce the section most students immediately turn to - the family ad section. This is your opportunity to put in that adorable pictures of your daughter... or that hysterical photo you have threatened to show the world!

Winter Sports Parent Meeting

Athletics would like to invite all winter sport parents to an Athletics Winter Sports Parent Meeting.
 
Meet your new Athletics Staff and receive some important information regarding your daughter's participation in sports at Carondelet High School.
 
In addition our head athletic trainer will be doing a live demo of Sportsware to hopefully make filling out your daughter's paperwork less stressful as there have been some changes.

Parents, get your Junior/Senior to experience Washington, DC! 

Date: Feb. 9 - 15, 2019 
This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for students to experience our government in action through the Close Up Foundation . Get a front row seat to democracy in the halls of Congress as well as in meetings with Washington insiders and media. This experience is designed to help students make a personal connection to their role as a citizen and the issues that churn debate in Washington, DC.

Visions of Christmas is Carondelet's largest fundraising event of the year! We entertain approximately 2,500 guests during five festive events. Here are a few ways to get involved:

Freshman families - Please remember that you are required to participate in Visions of Christmas with a minimum of eight hours of service or through a gift-in-kind donation. Please click here for specifics.

Service Spotlight

Sunrise Assisted Living - Sunrise of Walnut Creek is looking for people to visit residents in their memory care facility. Service could include taking a walk with residents, having conversations, doing art projects and reading aloud.

Opportunities to serve at Sunrise are available Fridays after school and on weekends. Volunteers who are bilingual/Spanish or have musical gifts are especially needed!

Students can sign up to serve at Sunrise and find out about other service opportunities by going to the Campus Ministry office or by filling out this online form

One-time volunteer opportunities:
Walnut Festival - The 82nd Walnut Festival will take place at Heather Farm Park from September 20-23. Join the volunteer team to serve at the Information Booth or the Kid Zone!

Students may sign-up for additional service opportunities or receive more information by contacting   Mrs. Natalie Terry , Coordinator of Service and Social Advocacy or visiting her in the Campus Ministry office.
