March 20, 2026

Dear Residents,

Congratulations to the Tappan Zee Girls and Boys Basketball teams on reaching the NYS Class A Semifinals. While the boys’ team did not achieve the outcome they hoped for, they should be incredibly proud of their accomplishments and the excitement they brought to our community. We wish the Tappan Zee Girls Team the best of luck as they take on Albany Academy tomorrow in Troy—Orangetown will be cheering you on!

The Town has received concerns regarding the speed and volume of e-bikes on the Joseph B. Clarke Rail Trail. In response, the Town Board will be discussing the possibility of prohibiting e-bike use on the trail at its meeting next Tuesday, March 24, 2026. Community input is important, so residents are encouraged to attend the meeting and share their thoughts or to submit comments in writing via email to supervisor@orangetown.com.

The Rockland County St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place this Sunday, March 22. Road closures will begin at 12 pm, and streets near the parade route may remain closed for up to an hour after the parade concludes. TOR bus service will be rerouted around downtown Pearl River, so please check with the bus company if you rely on public transportation.

For those planning to attend the parade, I look forward to seeing you out “On the Avenue.”

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend.

Regards,

Teresa M. Kenny
