March 28, 2025

Dear Residents -

The temperatures are expected to reach upwards of 77 degrees tomorrow – a burst of summer in March! What a great opportunity to get outside and enjoy our wonderful parks or, if you are looking for something a little more challenging to do, head over to the Rockland GAA for the annual 5K Memorial Run/Walk. It is tomorrow at 11 am, with festivities consisting of music and refreshments to follow. To sign up, click HERE or at the GAA tomorrow.

With April arriving next week, it’s time to start marking your calendar with upcoming events, such as the Nyack Spring Fest Street Fair. And be sure to read my newsletter every week so that you don’t miss out on any of them. That, and to check out the Adopt-A-Pup of the week. For the last few weeks I have been showcasing a dog that is available for adoption at the Hudson Valley Humane Society. Take a peek, one may catch your eye. After all, a dog is man’s best friend (I know mine is).

I am pleased to announce that the Pearl River’s Famers Market will be returning to the Central Avenue Field on May 3, 2025. I am looking forward to its return and the addition of some “add on” events, such as a food truck festival. If you have any suggestions, please send them our way.

Whatever you decide to do this weekend, get out and enjoy the warm weather.

Regards,

Teresa M. Kenny

Ms. Mary Swann's 100th Birthday

Last Friday, Supervisor Kenny attended a birthday celebration for Orangetown resident Mary Swann – 100 years young! Mary was delighted to accept a certificate from the Town Board recognizing her important milestone. Sitting beside her in the photo is her 98-year old brother. We all need to find out what they are eating!
