May 29, 2026

Dear Residents -

Thank you to everyone who attended one of the many Memorial Day services last weekend despite the rain. In a related observance, two Watchfires will be lit tonight, May 29, 2026, beginning at 11:30 pm— one on Clausland Mountain and the other at the Piermont Pier. The Watchfires honor and “keep watch” for fallen and missing-in-action (MIA) troops who never returned and the fires are truly a sight to behold.

If my weather app is correct—and that’s a big if—we’re expecting beautiful weather for tomorrow’s Pearl River Food Truck Festival. Hopefully, the third time is the charm! To see a list of participating food trucks, click here.

As a reminder, the Town is sponsoring Dog Days of Summer, a fundraiser benefiting the Hudson Valley Humane Society, on June 20, 2026, from 12 pm to 2 pm. It may be the only opportunity you’ll have to share the splash pad with your dog, so sign up today.

For details about these events and others, please see below. Whatever you choose to do this weekend, enjoy the weather—and don’t forget the sunscreen.

Regards,

Teresa M. Kenny
