Dear Residents,
With Election Day behind us, I want to thank the voters of Orangetown for once again placing their trust in me to continue as your Town Supervisor. It is an honor to represent this community, and I look forward to continuing our work together. I am as committed as ever to serving you with transparency and integrity. And thanks to new N.Y.S. legislation, I will have the “pleasure” of running again next year.
I also want to congratulate Brian Donohue and Dan Sullivan on their re-election to the Town Board, as well as Town Clerk Rosanna Sfraga, Superintendent of Highways Jim Dean, and Town Justice Rich Finning. It is a privilege to serve alongside such dedicated public servants who care deeply about Orangetown and its residents.
Next Tuesday, November 11, 2025, is Veterans Day and there are many ceremonies taking place in and around Orangetown. Please join the Raymond W. DeMeola VFW Memorial Post 1615 on Sunday, November 9th at 10 am for their Veterans Day Ceremony at the Walkway of Heroes, located at Independence Avenue and Lester Drive in Tappan. Also, on November 11th at 11 am, the Carl A. Schelin American Legion Post 1271 is having their ceremony at the Tappan Memorial Triangle in Tappan, while the Charles R. and Raymond O. American Legion Post 310 in conjunction with the VFW Post 9215 is having theirs at 250 Birchwood Avenue in Upper Nyack. Let’s come together to honor and thank all who have served our nation.
If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, don’t miss the first-ever Pearl River Food Truck Festival this Saturday, from 11 am to 4 pm at the Central Avenue Field—click HERE to see the lineup. Then on Sunday, lace up your running shoes for the Tappan Fire Department’s Annual 5K, which winds through the historic—and hilly—streets of Tappan.
Whatever you choose to do, get out, have fun, and enjoy the weekend!
Regards,
