Parade of Trees on Front Street
Thank you to all of the businesses that participated in our first ever Parade of Trees! The trees looked beautiful the entire month of December displayed on Front Street and Wolf Road at the entrance of downtown Mokena and they certainly looked festive next to the Front Street Frosty!

Also, a huge thank you to everyone that came out and showed your support to the Mokena Chamber, Downtown Mokena, to the Frankfort Township Food Pantry, Tow Trucks For Tots, and NAWS Humane Society of Illinois with your donations made under your favorite business tree at our Parade of Trees event during Holiday Hoopla Palooza on Dec. 12. You all donated 437 items total that went to worthy causes in our community.

The big winner of the tree decorating contest was Elite Ambulance. They had 92 donations under their tree at our Holiday Hoopla Palooza, plus 46 Facebook likes which made them the grand prize winner with a total score of 138 points! They will receive a FREE tree in 2021.

We SOLD OUT of trees in 2020, so if you would like to reserve your tree for 2021 please contact the chamber office! They are $75 and a great way to promote your business through the holiday season in downtown Mokena! We provide the tree, installation, and electricity.

Check out our album of participating business trees on Facebook here.

Thank you to our tree participants!

11th Annual International Women's Day Forum: Business Powering a New Tomorrow
Friday, March 5 from 12 to 4 p.m.

2020 presented a host of unexpected challenges, threatening the progress the world has made in women’s empowerment. From education and healthcare to job security and childcare, women and girls around the globe have been disproportionately burdened by the social and economic impacts of COVID-19.
While the pandemic has deepened pre-existing inequities, it has also presented opportunities to reimagine systems, mobilize action, and accelerate momentum for a world that is equal, inclusive and resilient. As we recover and press forward in 2021, women and their allies are acting with courage, strength and perseverance to shape a future that works better for all.
Our 11th annual International Women’s Day Forum will highlight how the private sector, working with cross-sector partners, can narrow gender gaps in every aspect of society, redefine leadership, reconstruct workplaces, and drive equality of opportunity for women and girls as we navigate our recovery from the pandemic and beyond.
