"Egg" your fellow businesses this Easter!
The Mokena Chamber is starting a new program this year! You can "egg" your fellow businesses and raise money for high school senior scholarships at the same time!

Here's how the program works:
  • Place your Easter basket order with the chamber. Order as many baskets for as many businesses as you like. Baskets are $20 each. They will be filled with goodies, and a certificate for the recipient to proudly display. It will state that the basket was purchased by you as a gift for them as a fundraiser.
  • The Mokena Chamber will deliver the baskets to the businesses you chose.
  • All proceeds from the sale of the baskets will go to the Lincoln-Way High School District 210 Foundation's scholarship program. Each year the Mokena Chamber of Commerce presents three scholarships to graduating seniors that reside in Mokena.

Example: SK Patel of Aesthetica Day Spa purchases three baskets to give to each of his "business buddies." He purchases one basket for Gwendolyn Sterk at Sterk Family Law, one basket for Bob Feldman of Nothing Bundt Cakes, and one basket for Dino and Gail Bastas at EggCetera Cafe.

The Mokena Chamber delivers a basket to each of them. We include a certificate informing them that this was purchased by SK Patel of Aesthetica Day Spa, and all proceeds of this basket will be going towards scholarships for graduating seniors through the L-W High School Foundation.

Gwendolyn, Bob, Dino, and Gail are so grateful and excited to receive this that they pay it forward and buy baskets for their fellow businesses and we spread Easter cheer all through Mokena from now through April 2nd!

Join us for an Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt - THIS SATURDAY April 3
Our Chamber Member Scavenger Hunt is back by popular demand! After our Halloween Hunt we received many requests from businesses and participants to have another Hunt in the spring!

How to Play: Hunt any of our 20 participating chamber member locations while looking for the inflatable Easter Egg! Once you find it, drop one of your raffle ticket into the bucket next to it. The more places you visit and find the decoration, the more chances to win! 

What to Win: Prizes will be awarded in each of our four age groups!

How to Register: Sign up your child(ren) for only $5! On Saturday, April 3, begin at the Chamber Office to pick up a goodie bag, raffle tickets, and map of the participating chamber businesses. The chamber office will open at 10:15 a.m. We are located at 11104 Front Street, Suite 1B, across from the Metra station. 

You must pre-register to participate! There is a participant limit of 200 children. Sorry, no refunds. Rain or shine.

BUSINESSES: We are still in need of prizes for the kids! Gift cards to local businesses would be ideal!

Chick Sponsor: $50 - Your logo on every flyer, poster, and scavenger hunt map. Social media exposure on Facebook page with 3,000 followers.

Bunny Sponsor: $100 - FREE entry to have your business participate, PLUS everything listed above, AND promotional materials included in goodie bags given to every child!

Lincoln-Way Expo 2021

Inspired by community collaboration, the New Lenox and Mokena Chambers have joined forces for a joint chamber Lincoln-Way Expo. This event brings business and community together from across the Lincoln-way region. The Lincoln-Way Expo is a true community event for the family; it's one-stop-shop for everything this area has to offer.

We hope that you will join us for our 2021 event in New Lenox Village Commons. To keep our vendors and attendees safe, this event will take place outdoors (rain or shine), face masks/coverings are required, and social distancing is encouraged. 

Exhibitor info:
  • A single booth space is 12’ X 12’. 
  • You will need to provide your own table, chairs, tent, etc. 
  • Masks must be worn at all times and social distancing and CDC guidelines will be followed.
  • Electricity is not available. 
  • Event is rain or shine.

Exhibitor Fees:
  • Chamber Member Booth: $125 (Must be a member of one or both Chambers to qualify for the member rate)
  • Non-Chamber Member: $350 (Includes 1 year membership to both chambers)
  • Non-Profit & Taxing Bodies Booth: $75
  • Home Based Business: $75

Will County to Create Second Grant Program for Small Businesses
Building on the success of the recently completed small business grant program, Will County has taken steps to begin creating another program designed to provide financial assistance for small businesses.
The Will County Board approved the move during a special meeting on Friday, Feb. 26.
In anticipation of another round of stimulus funds provided by the federal government through the American Rescue Plan, the Board took the pro-active steps to authorize the County Executive to create the Small Business Stimulus Grant Program.

New Resident 'Swag Bag' marketing opportunity for you.
As a member of the Mokena Chamber of Commerce you can be one of the first businesses to welcome new residents to Mokena!

When new residents set up their utilities account at Village Hall, they are given a card to bring to the Chamber Office to redeem for a Welcome Swag Bag of free gifts, including promotional items and coupons from Chamber member businesses, along with information about the community.

To participate in the Welcome to Mokena program, we just ask that you provide a promotional item for the Welcome Bag, and/or a coupon for your business.

To participate, we ask for a 12-month commitment in the program. In return, at the end of each quarter, you will receive the mailing addresses of the Welcome Swag Bag recipients who have opted to receive information from you.
