20s and 30s Game Night May 12

20s & 30s Group: Game Night!

Tuesday, May 12th from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Join us for our second monthly social gathering of adults in their 20s and 30s (and thereabouts!). We will gather in the Upper Parish Hall for a game night with several different board/card games to choose from – including options for the full group to play together.

We will have pizza available for all to enjoy (gluten-free or vegan options available upon request in advance). We kindly ask you to bring your favorite beverage(s) – either for yourself to enjoy or to share! Both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages are welcome.

All adults in their 20s and 30s are encouraged to join us – you do not need to be a member of Memorial or of the Episcopal Church! This group is intended to help us get to know one another in our community.

If you plan to attend, we ask that you please RSVP (for yourself and any guests) by noon on May 12th so that we can order enough pizza for all.

Questions? Email Andrew Tomlinson. Want to help us spread the word? Share the flyer and/or any social media graphics!

Sunday School Update

Sunday school will be offered during the 10:30 a.m. service on the second and fourth Sundays of the month, with the possibility of expanding to other Sundays if sufficient volunteers step forward.

This month, Sunday school will be held this Sunday, May 10th, and on May 24th.

Now Hiring: Parish Administrator

Memorial Episcopal Church is seeking a reliable, organized and professional part-time Parish Administrator. The Parish Administrator provides part‑time administrative support to the parish and reports to the rector. The rector will set priorities and timelines.

The successful candidate will be a strong independent worker with excellent written and verbal communication skills, a warm and professional presence with congregants and visitors and proven ability to maintain confidentiality.

This is a part‑time position (15 hours/week). Regular hours will include scheduled office time on Mondays and Thursdays; additional in‑office hours may be scheduled as needed and may be supplemented by remote work. Specific hours will be agreed upon with the rector. Paid time off will be negotiated and dates for office holiday closing will be provided.

Pay for this position is $25 to $28/hour, commensurate with experience.

For reasons of confidentiality and to avoid possible conflict of interest, this position is not open to any parishioners or their families.

More information – including details on how to apply – are available on the Memorial Episcopal Church website. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.

Fund to Support A/V

We now have a special fund to which you may contribute to repair and improve the audiovisual component of our worship services. This should help us with more clarity in the sound reinforcement in the church as well as for the people who attend services remotely.

To contribute to this fund by check, please note "Audio/Visual" in the memo line.

To contribute electronically, you may go to "Donate Now" from the website or from Realm. Then, click on the arrow next to the "Pledge 2026" button and then a dropdown menu will appear. Scroll to the bottom and select "audio video" and you can make your donation.

Sound System Volunteers Needed!

We are looking for volunteers to learn the sound system at the church and serve as tech support for sound and for Zoom on a rotating basis.

These volunteers play a crucial role in keeping our Zoom community connected while ensuring that everyone in the church can hear and fully participate in the service.

If you are interested in training to do this, Stephanie and Marc will have a sign-up sheet available at church this Sunday. Your help is needed and appreciated!
