High School Youth
Gatherings
September 15 is our first meeting of the high school youth group for the new program year.
We meet on the first and third Sundays of each month
from
3:30-5 pm
.
Our gatherings make space for getting to know one another and to explore our faith through times of fun and games, food and fellowship, and conversation and prayer. The High School Youth Group goes on retreats, spends extended time together in overnights at the church, and participates in mission trips.
The Rev. Holly Hoffmann, Anne Sedlack, and Peter Durin are the adults primarily involved with our high school youth group.
If you would like to be added to our email list to learn about upcoming high school youth events, please contact the Rev. Holly Hoffmann at
[email protected].

Please take a St. Alban's Clynk bag for your returnables to your home or camp to support St. Alban's youth.
Money collected through the Clynk bags from St. Alban's go to support the High School Youth Pilgrimage in the Summer of 2020.
How it works
When the bags are full, bring them directly to a Hannaford Grocery Store, scan the bag's tag, and know your donation is then credited to our Clynk account.
(Please do not bring full Clynk bags to the church.)
If you have questions, please see our Associate Rector and high school youth group leader The Rev. Holly Hoffmann

How would you like to read some of the Bible with me in a new way this fall? Please help me by taking the 2 question survey below.
Here's my thinking: as Anglicans and Episcopalians, we rely on scripture, tradition and reason...with a little experience thrown in...to know God and ourselves as children of God. Our worship is practiced in this framework, too.
We mostly read scripture in short passages each Sunday, asking our clergy to guide and inspire us in their sermons, illuminating meaning and hope.
Often this good method to learn scripture.
But...I'm wondering if you'd like to join me in digging a little deeper, just one hour a week this fall. I imagine we'll be a good-side "class," but have plenty of room for conversation. We'll start and end on time and jump right in! You could come any work that works for you.
My plan is to focus on just one of each Sunday's four readings, by using a much-admired, thought-provoking, one-page commentary prepared by the wise folks at
Feasting on the Word.
I like their writers and have subscribed to
next season's commentaries
All I need is you! There will be 15 minutes homework each week.
So here are the 2 survey questions.
-
Would you like to read a bit of Bible with me this in way this fall?
-
When would be best for you? a. Sunday afternoons at 3:00PM. b. Monday or Wednesday evening at 6:30?
Looking forward to your responses!

SUMMER FUN DAYS ARE STILL HERE!
All summer we have Summer Fun Days at the 9:30 am service.
Each Sunday from June 16th-August 25th, we'll delight children ages 4 - rising 6th grade with outdoor fun & games, creative art projects, and perhaps even a friendly soccer match. We're looking for one or two families to host each Sunday - we'll help with ideas (seashell picture frames, sand art, life-size Noah's Ark) or provide your own!

This Sunday!! A 20s/30s Gathering on Sunday, August 18 after the 9:30 service

If its a rainy day, we will stay at St. Alban's. Share ideas for what you will bring
here.

Saint Alban's Cares
Needs Care
One facet of the "St. Alban's Cares" ministry is cooking meals for individuals and families who need additional support during a time of illness, recovery from surgery, or after another life event, such as the birth of a child.
If you are interested in putting your culinary skills to work to provide this kind of care for others in our community, please contact
Linda Card or
the Rev. Holly Hoffmann.
We need more people to help with the preparation or purchase of foods for this important ministry.
