In Our Prayers this Week

During the last Sunday's worship service, we received the following requests for prayers...

  • For Rosa, a volunteer with our food distribution and food pantry ministry who is grieving the death of her boyfriend.
  • For Miriam (a friend from our Wednesday Food Distribution) entered Life Eternal this week while she was waiting for a liver transplant. Each week she always expressed her gratitude for the people, volunteers, and pastor of CUMC. She was always touched and appreciative of the kindness, hospitality, and generosity she received on Wednesdays.
  • For Bill and Marge as she cares for him.
  • Of Concern and Healing for Richard-serious heart issues and upcoming procedure.
  • Of concern for Bill B. and Marge in these difficult days.
  • Of Joy for Laura & Joe married on September 10th and for Amanda & Kyle recently engaged.

CUMC Clean-up Day

Please join us in Fellowship and Community for our CUMC Clean-up Day on October 1st, from 9:30AM-12:30PM.

Our mission is to bring the CUMC member and family community together for a few hours to give our beautiful building some "TLC touchups". This will be a great time to gather again just two weeks after Rally Day and share more fellowship and fixing up fun. Many hands make light work and we will have some simple indoor projects for all ages and abilities. Refreshments will be served! Please sign-up by clicking the RSVP button below so we can complete all preparation and planning. If you prefer, there is a paper sign up sheet on the bulletin board outside Jeff's office as well – see you on October 1st!

All Saints Day Service

Sunday, November 6th

Sunday, November 6th will be our All Saints Day Special Service at 10:00 AM. This is an ancient tradition in which Christians remember loved ones who have finished their courses in faith, and now live in the heavenly realm. We will light candles in their memory, speak their names, toll the bell, and give God thanks for their lives and their homecoming into Eternal Life.

Beginning this weekend, a list of names of loved ones is located outside the church office. We invite you to add names to this list if your loved one is not on it.

This list will be outside the Sanctuary until next Sunday, October 30th. Please call the church office at (973) 635-7440 or email churchsecretary@optonline.net if you would like to add a loved one to this list but are unable to come to the Sanctuary.

Deadline for all name submissions is Monday, October 31st at 10:00 AM.

Current Masking Status and

Frequently Used Links

The CUMC Church Council has voted unanimously to follow the CDC Covid Data tracker for Morris County to evaluate weekly Covid levels. Going forward, this tracker will help guide us in determining our indoor mask usage for all CUMC functions. Covid levels and recommendations are updated weekly on Thursday nights by the CDC. These updates will be used at CUMC from Friday-Friday and will state if masks required (high level) or optional (medium/low). You may check to see what the current Morris County Covid levels are prior to coming by clicking below.

Thank you for your ongoing patience, and expressions

of care for your neighbors!
